Taking in both French and Spanish traditions, food here is rustic and high on flavour factor. Fish features heavily – the town’s main ‘produce’ is cod, hake, sardines and tuna. Expect to enjoy lots of tomato and olive oil based fish stews mopped up with plenty of crusty bread when eating out of your luxury villa. Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy the town’s other speciality – macaroons, which are crisper and yet softer than any you’ll have tried anywhere else.
