Ski holidays have always been popular with families and it’s important that everyone is kept entertained on and off the slopes. Whilst the adults can enjoy a spot of relaxation in the spa or experience the après ski on offer in resort, the kids need an outlet for their imaginations in order to explore and unwind.

We’ve complied a list of chalets and hotels that boast the most impressive playrooms and facilities that kids will love, so that if you’re looking for luxury retreat that’ll please all the family you need look no further.
All of our chalets can be booked with nannies and babysitters, allowing you to enjoy time to yourself and most have specially dedicated bunkrooms for your children to call their own.
Possibly as far from the traditional alpine chalet as it gets, Chalet Rock and Love is unique with splashes of colour and retro style throughout. The word ‘wow’ springs to mind.
Children can sleep in real a VW or Jeep in their own magical ‘garage’ room, which the owner has converted into beds. Complete with TVs and a games console, it’s the ultimate children’s den.
If that’s not enough, the pool table in the games area has also been crafted from the shell of a mini and the Wurlitzer jukebox offers the perfect opportunity to introduce them to your favourite records. Of course we couldn’t forget to mention the beautiful indoor pool with floats, just waiting to be jumped into.
Fewer chalets in the Alps can boast the type of playroom that you’ll find at Tivoli Lodge. With a multi-story soft play gym, complete with ball pit, slide and ‘flying fox’ there’s nothing else quite like it. A fun packed playroom for smaller children with a slide and various play areas will keep them entertained for hours, whilst older children can make the most of the games area with pool table, driving games and Star Wars booth their own for the week.
During the school holidays is when the kids club really comes to life. Run by the nearby Les Airelles Hotel, guests of Chalet Ormello have access to the ‘Magic Kingdom of Children’ hidden amongst the trees in Courchevel. With an arcade room and countless games on offer as well as an ice rink and carousel, it’s like their own private palace!
One of the newest hotels in Courchevel 1850, Hotel Barriere les Neige is fantastic for children of all ages. The aptly named kids club ‘Little VIPs’, where children are treated as just that is not your standard crèche. Whether they want to be a costume designer, film maker, photographer or cook for the day, the full programme of entertainment is designed to spark creativity and imagination. They may even discover a new favourite hobby!
Outdoors they can try their hand at igloo building, and younger guests will love whizzing down the 2km toboggan ride. There’s even a giant air bag where older kids might like to hone their take off skills! After tiring themselves out, the private cinema room offers the perfect spot to cosy up with hot chocolate and popcorn after dinner, before doing it all again tomorrow!
There’s luxury chalets and then there’s Chalet Alpaca and in Meribel they don’t come much more spectacular than Alpaca. Whilst many of our properties have a hot tub or pool, this luxury ski chalet has just that and then some with so much on offer for children.
Tired ski legs not a problem? With heaps of toys and games and a dedicated children’s playroom, little ones will be in their element at this luxury ski chalet in Verbier. Spread out over four floors and with a cosy bunk room to sleep up to three children, Chalet Nyumba is ideal for large families.
There is plenty of space for them to run around whilst you sit back, relax and take in some of the best views in Verbier, thanks to the chalet’s elevated position on the Sonalon enclave.

After dinner, the TV area with secret playroom makes the ultimate hideout. And with an indoor pool, cinema screen, foosball and ping-pong table, children will be delighted to return to Chalet Quezac after a day of snowy fun.
Chalet Aster boasts an enviable ski-in/ski-out location in the exclusive Belvedere area of Courchevel 1650. Situated above the village right beside the piste it offers the perfect opportunity for tobogganing and making snow angels before heading indoors for afternoon tea.
Once you’ve dusted off your snow boots and warmed up, get the whole family together in the games room for a spot of billiards, table tennis, foosball or air hockey, the choice is yours.
