Description
All the best things come in small packages. The bijou and beautiful Barcolino is a guest house in the grounds of a large private farmhouse on the Reschio estate, and available when the farmhouse is unoccupied.

The perfect romantic retreat for a couple, Barcolino is a real gem. The open-plan ground floor exudes luxe comfort. Vibrant soft furnishings add swathes of colour to the traditionally Umbrian white walls and stone floors. The airy living area leads onto a covered loggia so when the doors are thrown open, inside and outside become one, but when you shut yourselves in for the night the bedroom area feels ultra cosy. A well-appointed kitchen and luxurious shower room offer everything you might need.

Upstairs on the mezzanine is a quiet study area, perfect for an afternoon curled up with a book should the weather be less Tuscan than usual, and there’s also a TV and DVD player. A sofa bed and guest shower room mean you can easily have the occasional overnight guest if you wish.

Outside, the covered loggia, with both relaxed seating area and a dining table and chairs, provides a wonderfully shady spot to sit in the heat of the day, and should a shower come in during the evening, you can still enjoy dinner alfresco as you watch the clouds blow over the valley. The views from here are simply sublime - rolling hills as far as the eye can see, all the way to the castles of Reschio and Sorbello. The property also boasts an 18m infinity pool as well as a separate spa bath. Total bliss - with a blissful view, too.

If you wish, a private chef is available, either to hire for an entire week at a time, or just for one-off special dinners or occasions.

On nights when you don’t fancy cooking there is also a private estate restaurant which serves wonderful traditional Italian dishes, and if you prefer to eat in the comfort of your own holiday guest house, you can order from the house menu and wine list and have it delivered to your door to enjoy in your own private loggia.
