Description

A beautiful balance of old and new is always a classic recipe for success. This traditional French farmhouse has been skilfully remodelled, redesigned and zhooshed up to become a luxury ski chalet in Morzine of very fine quality!

Rustic wood beams frame each room, and acres of glass allow light to flood into every corner of the property, particularly the top floor where the open-plan living and dining space has views of the Pleney slopes and Pointe de Nyon. Help yourself to a drink from the bar and decide whether you want to enjoy the view from the comfort of the sofas in front of the wood-burning stove, or out on the balcony, up close and personal with the mountain air.

This luxury ski chalet has been designed to make the very most of its outdoor spaces with a unique outdoor deck area. Should you choose to dine ‘al fresco’, a barbecue, pizza oven and additional outdoor dining area have been designed for both winter and summer use. Sit back and enjoy the mountain stars while your chef and chalet host prepare and serve your evening meal – an experience not to be missed. There is also an outdoor lounge & bar, with fire pit, hammocks and loungers. Then, of course, there is the outdoor hot tub, best enjoyed with a glass of complimentary champagne and a few friends.

On chilly afternoons after a morning spent on the slopes, there’s plenty to entertain everyone at Chalet 46˚ from the spa area with sauna to the TV/cinema room with a DVD library with something for everyone. There are always staff on hand to help with anything you could wish for, whether you want to be whisked to another ski area in the private car, arrange an outdoor pizza party for the children or simply need your drinks topping up so you don’t have to set foot out of the hot tub.

At the end of each busy day, you’ll find no more relaxing place to lay your head than one of the beautiful bedrooms, with Egyptian cotton sheets, luxury mattresses and TV and DVD player, so you can make each room your own private bolthole. Sweet dreams.

Morzine is fantastic resort all year round resort and with plenty of outdoor space Chalet 46˚ is ideal for a summer chalet rental in the Alps. It is offered on a self-catered basis during summer months, however we can arrange everything from chefs to airport transfers and in-resort activities.

Location

Chalet 46˚ is a luxury ski chalet in Morzine, ideally located just a short distance from both the slopes and town centre. The nearest piste is approximately 200 metres away but you can ski to within 30 metres of the chalet in suitable snow conditions. You can ski to the Pleney Gondola from here, or your chauffeur will be happy to drive you to a different lift in the Morzine area if you wish.

The property is nestled in a very pretty part of Morzine, which is approximately a 10 minute walk to the centre of town.

Geneva Airport is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes drive.

Rooms

Chalet 46˚sleeps up to 14 people in 5 bedrooms.

All bedrooms are on the first floor and have a TV/DVD player.

Bedrooms one and two
Double bedrooms with king-size/twin beds; en-suite shower rooms.

Bedroom three
Double bedroom with king-size/twin bed; freestanding bathtub, walk-in shower and double basins which are open to the room. There are also two adult-sized built in cabin beds in this room to sleep a further two people although they are most suited to children.

Bedroom four
Double bedroom with king-size/twin bed; sunken bathtub open to the room and en-suite shower room.

Bedroom five
Double bedroom with king-size/twin bed; en-suite shower room. There is an adult-sized bunk bed in this room to sleep a further two people although they are most suited to children.

Eating

Food is a highlight of any stay here – fresh, local ingredients, expertly presented by your experienced chef.

Your chef will prepare a delicious breakfast for you each morning, and on your return from the slopes, you’ll find afternoon tea ready and waiting.

Canapés are served in the evening while your four-course gourmet meal is prepared. If you prefer something lighter or have any other likes and dislikes to take account of, your chef will be only too pleased to discuss this with you in advance.

Complimentary house wines from around the world are served with dinner and there is always French champagne and Italian prosecco on offer, as well as a fully stocked spirits bar.

Please note, when taken along with Apartment 6˚, the chalet can seat up to 20 people for dinner in adjacent tables of 10 people.

Morzine, in the Portes du Soleil, is a lovely resort for families with fabulous nursery slopes and ski schools, and with two bedrooms that can be used as family rooms and the snow literally a few metres from the door, Chalet 46˚ is an ideal choice.

Children will love the TV/cinema room, perfect for a movie night in the evenings, and there are plenty of games and consoles to keep them entertained.

Nannies, babysitters and children’s ski tuition can all be arranged on request as well as cots and highchairs.
