Chalet Elan’s stand-out facility is its sublime wellness area. When you’re done for the day on the slopes, look forward to retreating to the sauna or outdoor Swedish bath. Sink into the warm waters of the indoor swimming pool then laze on a plush poolside lounger and drift off for a quick nap before the evening’s entertainment. If that’s not soothing enough, book a treatment in the massage room and feel like new, ready to tuck into your chef-prepared five-course dinner.

The open-plan living and dining area is a sociable family space, while the TV room is a great addition that doubles up as a children’s play room. Six restful bedrooms (five doubles and a kids’ bunk room) are alpine in style, each featuring their own en-suite bath or shower room. Location

This luxury ski chalet has an excellent setting in the Plantret area below the centre of Courchevel 1850, just 40 metres from the slopes with access to the vast Three Valleys ski area.

A private resort driver service is included (8 hours per day between 8am and 10pm).

Chambery is the closest airport, at 1 hour 30 minutes’ drive away. Grenoble and Lyon airports can both be reached in approximately 2 hours 10 minutes, while Geneva airport is around 2 hours 20 minutes away.

There’s also an altiport in Courchevel 1850 for guests travelling to their luxury ski holiday by helicopter or private jet.

Eating

Chalet Elan is a fully catered luxury ski chalet and offers the services of a private chef who will whip up delectable breakfasts, afternoon teas and dinners to suit all palettes.

Start the day with a freshly prepared breakfast of sweet and savoury options to suit your mood. After fun-filled days on the mountain, the scent of afternoon tea by the fire will be ready to lure you inside.

Dinner is a five-course affair, served six evenings a week, comprising a mouth-watering appetiser, starter, main, cheese and dessert dish. This leaves one evening free to sample Courchevel’s gourmet eateries, and your concierge will be more than happy to make recommendations and bookings.
