This luxury ski chalet in Megeve is self-catered and you’re just a five-minute drive from the resort’s fantastic range of eateries, including a three-Michelin-star restaurant. If you prefer to cook up a storm, you’ll find everything you need in the fully equipped kitchen, which also has access to a balcony – ideal if you need to step out for a breather with a glass of wine before serving up. There’s plenty of space for everyone to take a seat at the table and tuck into family feasts under the glittering light of the chandeliers.

The roomy open-plan living area is the hub of the home. A modern log burner is a real focal point, where you can curl up with a good book by the roaring fire or chat by firelight long into the evenings. For those nights when you’re all talked out, head down to the home cinema room, which has its own bar for supplying movie night drinks and snacks. Or, take relaxation to the next level and make your way to Chalet Petite Ourse’s log cabin-style wellness zone to take a dip in the sunken Jacuzzi or soothe weary limbs in the sauna and steam room.

At the end of fun-filled days on the slopes, rest your head in one of seven soothing en-suite bedrooms. Some rooms come with a dressing room or balcony access – the light and airy master has both. There’s also a cosy triple bunk room where little ones can bed down together for sleepovers.

The nearest ski lift is just a two-minute drive away, so you’ll be able to maximise your time on the slopes.

Transfers from Geneva airport take around 1 hour 15 minutes.

Chalet Petite Ourse is a luxury self-catered ski chalet, giving you the flexibility to dine in or out as you wish. The kitchen comes with all mod cons so it’s easy to whip up your favourite dishes to be enjoyed at the dining table which comfortably seats 14 guests.

Megeve is a real foodie hot spot. At the top end, there’s Flocons de Sel boasting three Michelin stars and there are lots of other restaurants in the resort offering mouth-watering regional dishes. Out on the mountains, you’ll find everything from simple canteens to gourmet restaurants packed with character.

Following all the exciting day’s activities, kids will enjoy snuggling up in the bunk room which sleeps three children.
