Villa Clos Mireille is a magical property, created from a renovated bastide, with nine individually designed bedrooms and plenty of communal spaces for partying, relaxing and catching up with friends and family.

Fabulously restored just over a decade ago, leaving no expense spared, Clos Mireille is a fabulous combination of modern rustic and country house chic. Polished concrete floors, huge metal-framed windows, antique furniture and ethnic furnishing fabrics are combined to create an eclectic interior that’s full of style. There’s so much history to enjoy here – we thoroughly recommend you take a tour of the wine cellars and grounds to get a real feel for the property.

But of course, where life really happens here in Provence is outdoors. Lounge in the alfresco living area, eat dinner under the stars to the sound of cicadas humming, and play a game of petanque over your digestifs. Surrounded by pines and vines, the vibe here is peaceful but heady in the evenings.

On warm afternoons, take a dip in the private lap pool, or head down the private path to Pellegrin Beach and dip your toes in the sea. The beach also offers sports such as paddle-boarding and snorkelling, and there’s lots more to do besides.

The property provide a driver service in 4×4 vehicles should you wish to go off adventuring, visiting local vineyards, or nip you down to the beach.

After full days in the sunshine, fabulous food and wonderful memories made, retreat to airy bedrooms where Aesop bath products, Frette robes and slippers and Italian bed linens await. Slip between cool sheets and start making plans for the morning.

Location

Set in 54 acres of vineyards, this luxury villa in Provence is located right on the coast with easy access to many of the area’s loveliest towns and villages, including Le Lavandou, Bormes Les Momosa and St Tropez. It’s also possible to charter a boat to visit some of the beautiful islands just off the coast.

The property has private access onto Pellegrin beach, from where you can enjoy snorkelling, paddle-boarding and more.

Eating

As you would expect of any luxury holiday, eating is high on the agenda and the planning begins even before you leave home, with a pre-arrival menu consultation with your chef to ensure every meal is enjoyed by everyone in your party.

Clos Mireille’s private chefs have been plucked from some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants and super yachts in the world, skilled in producing creative, delicious meals using only the finest local and seasonal ingredients.

Breakfast is served each morning, with platters of fruit, yoghurt, pastries and more – and lashings of tea and coffee – all taken out in the sun as the gardens come to life.

On five days of seven, an alfresco lunch is served, and then at Aperol Hour, drinks are served outside, while your three-course evening meal is prepared by your chef.

Set within 54 hectares of Cotes de Provence vines, the house wine list is, of course, carefully selected, and there’s also an a la carte wine list if you have something a little special in mind. Soft drinks, juices, spirits and beers are also included.

On one evening during your stay, the Clos Mireille team will throw a Champagne and canapés evening for you. You can choose to enjoy that as a welcome evening, as a goodbye on your last night, or to celebrate a special occasion during your stay.

On your chef’s days off, you might like to eat out. We always enjoy a lunch at Le P’tit Resto des Maurels, tucked away in nearby Le Lavandou, and dinner at La Farigoulette, also in beautiful Le Lavandou. Or just pop round the corner from your villa to the Leoube cafe for a delicious octopus salad.

Kids

This luxury family-friendly villa is a fantastic holiday home for those travelling with children of all ages.

There’s so much space to play and roam safely at Clos Mireille, and kids will love the freedom here. They’ll also want to make the most of the private access to Pellegrin beach and are sure to be out there as soon as breakfast is over in the mornings. And there’s plenty to keep them amused while here from paddle-boarding and snorkelling on the beach, to setting off in 4x4s to explore the local area, to coming home in the evening for a game of petanque and cold drinks back at the villa.

Your private chef will be happy to design a children’s menu and serve them an earlier sitting so that parents can enjoy long, leisurely meals after bedtime and no little people have to be on their best behaviour at the dinner table.
