Welcome to a ski holiday that’s just a little bit out of the ordinary. Yellowstone Ski Lodge is a luxury ski chalet in Sainte Foy, a charming little hamlet slightly off the beaten track of traditional, big resorts, but within an easy drive of areas such as Val d’Isere and Tignes.

The chalet itself is contemporary, quirky and stylish – essentially a boutique hotel you’ll enjoy all to yourselves. Feature walls, statement art pieces and a bold use of pattern and colour give this vibrant property a style all of its own.

Each en-suite bedroom is individually decorated for a personal feel. Two of the bedrooms have sleeping areas for children adjoining – all have deep bath tubs you can practically swim in and TVs, so if you feel like a couple of hours to yourself, you can be sure of it being time well spent.

And bored you will never be – as well as a TV room, gym, sauna and outdoor hot tub where you can soothe any achy legs after a day’s skiing, there’s also a small study area, giving everyone a bolthole to escape to sometimes, as well as beautifully sociable spaces to enjoy together.

The large, open-plan living space centres around the huge open fire in the living room, with comfy wool sofas gathered around. It’s an ideal spot to sit and catch up with the rest of your party after a morning on the slopes or chat late into the evening. Adjacent is a dining space, where you’ll enjoy delicious meals prepared by your private chef each evening.

After dinner, take your drinks out onto the terrace, which enjoys amazing mountain views by day and by night is an atmospheric spot to have a nightcap under a blanket as the stars start to twinkle.

Location

Yellowstone Ski Lodge is a ski-in/ski-out luxury chalet in Sainte Foy.

Located between Val d’Isere, Tignes, Les Arcs, La Plagne and La Rosiere, all of which are just a 10 – 20 minute drive away, you are perfectly placed to explore plenty of skiing areas.

The centre of Sainte Foy is approximately 10 minutes drive.

The nearest airports are Geneva, 2h and 35m and Lyon and Grenoble which are both 2h 20m away.

Rooms

Yellowstone Ski Lodge sleeps 12 adults + 3 children people across six bedrooms.

Bedroom one – (Zebra)
Master bedroom on top floor with dressing area; en-suite bathroom and separate WC.

Bedrooms two and three – (Hippo and Elephant)
Two double/twin bedrooms on the first floor; en-suite bathrooms and separate WCs.

Bedroom four – (Giraffe)
Double/twin bedroom with twin bunk room adjoining on the first floor; shared en-suite bathroom.

Bedroom five – (Moose)
Double/twin bedroom on the ground floor; en-suite bathroom.

Bedroom six – (Reindeer)
Double bedroom with single bedroom adjoining; shared en-suite bathroom and separate WC.

All the bedrooms are equipped with TVs and bathtubs.

Please note that this chalet can sometimes be taken alongside an independent gite sleeping four to eight next door, allowing for a party of up to 23.

Eating

High-quality ingredients, locally sourced, are the order of the day here. Your private chef will ensure that everyone in your party is catered for and will happily work around any dietary requirements or prepare dedicated children’s teas.

Each morning, breakfast is served. Choose from a light option or something heartier to fill you up for a day on the slopes. When you return in the afternoon, tea and homemade goodies await you.

In the evenings, gather round the fire while your chef prepares a delicious feast for you served with a carefully selected wine list.

Please note: The dining table seats a maximum of 18, therefore we recommend no more than 18 adults in the group when the Lodge is taken with the Ranch to accommodate 23.

Kids

With two of the en-suite bedrooms having adjoining rooms for children (one single and one bunk room), Yellowstone Ski Lodge is a great choice if you have small children in your party.

The area itself is a favourite with families as it’s a little quieter than some of the bigger resorts nearby and offers excellent skiing and facilities for children and beginners.

Your chef will be happy to cater to any of the children’s whims and favourites.
