About Mas de Galassa, St. Tropez

Peaceful and pretty, this luxury villa close to St. Tropez is a real find for anyone wanting to step off the treadmill for a while. Nestled in the French countryside, at the foot of a hill and close to the beach, Le Mas de Galassa is an oasis of calm.

The villa itself is light and airy, with cool terracotta floor tiles, tranquil neutral palettes and natural materials. The double-height lounge and dining area, with beautiful exposed beams and light flooding in, is a fabulous space in which to gather with family and friends  for drinks on the sofas. It even has a stone fireplace for chillier evenings. Each of the bedrooms has a flatscreen TV and offers its occupants a small bolthole to find a little quiet time with a glass of wine and a book. We recommend arriving first to bag the master bedroom with its own fireplace and terrace.

The entertainment spaces are carefully considered, too, from the cosy home cinema lounge, through to the well-equipped fitness room for those who can never truly relax until they’ve worked up a sweat.

The gardens extend the house beautifully, too, with terracotta terraces opening out from the villa into the lush gardens where ancient olive trees grow among colourful plants. The calming sound of water playing from the fountains is ever-present as you wander through the gardens. Passing the fully fitted kitchen, grab a bottle of wine from the cellar and meander over to the pétanque court for a game of boules, or settle on a lounger by the beautiful swimming pool, with a cocktail by your side. ‘Slow’ is the order of the day at Mas de Galassa.
