Perched on the edge of the north-eastern coast of the island, Royal Spa Pool Villa offers exclusive privacy and a stunning view of the Gulf of Mirabello. Standing on the terrace of the infinity pool, looking out to the ocean, it’s blue as far as the eye can see.

Inside, the villa has been conceived and designed to the very highest of standards. All the en-suite bathrooms are marble, the bedrooms elegant and luxurious, from the soft furnishings to the sumptuous bed linens. The spacious living and dining rooms have been recently renovated, with gold and metallic accents contrasting against the rich emerald and navy hues. You’ll be more than happy to simply linger at the table after dinner, finishing the fine wines and looking out to sea from the dual-aspect windows as you chat to your fellow guests.

For a little added pampering, the villa has its very own spa, with gym, sauna and steam room – as well as the two Jacuzzis in the crescent-shaped infinity pool outside. But all this aside, there’s nothing that improves one’s mind, body and soul like standing on that terrace in front of the sea, cocktail in hand, looking at one of the best sunsets you’ll ever see.

If that isn’t enough, guests also have access to the facilties at the Elounda Gulf Hotel including a private beach, kid’s club, spa and restaurants.

Rates are quoted as standard on a bed & buffet breakfast basis, however, it is possible to upgrade to half board. For bookings of 7 nights or more, a complimentary in-villa buffet breakfast is included.

Location

This luxury villa is located on the secluded Elounda Estate on the north-eastern coast of Crete.

The nearest airport is Heraklion, approximately 1 hour away.

Flights are available to Heraklion direct from many European destinations or you can fly to Athens and then make the short hop across to Heraklion from there.

Eating

Food is one of the highlights of any stay here as Elounda Gulf Villas & Suites has two delicious dining options. The Argo restaurant is open first thing for breakfast for a grand buffet breakfast, whilst for lunch and dinner you can choose from an array of Greek, Mediterranean and international dishes.

For a more fine-dining experience, Daphni is an award-winning gourmet restaurant with a menu of Greek and Mediterranean specialities and a sea view. It’s a really magical setting in which to enjoy some wonderful food.

If you prefer to eat in the privacy of your villa, there is an extensive room service menu available and for special occasions you can arrange for a chef to come and cook for you and your party in your villa and serve you a spectacular meal on your own terrace.

Also, the Bar at the Private Beach Club serves snacks and refreshments all day between 11am and 5pm.

Kids

Children are very well catered for here. The Elounda’s concierge service is always on hand to book family meals, outings or babysitters for you and nothing is too much trouble where tiny travellers are concerned. On request, cribs, push chairs and other baby equipment are available to make sure you and your children are well catered for. Transparent gates can also be erected around your villa’s pool for your peace of mind.

There’s so much to keep smaller guests happy here. As well as tennis and swimming lessons on request, the Elounda Gulf Villas hotel operates two kids’ clubs. The Cool Creche, created to UK ‘Ofsted’ standards, and caring for little ones from four months to four years, so mums and dads can enjoy some well-earned time to themselves. Bigger kids aged four to twelve will love the Cool Kids’ Club and a broad schedule of activities to keep them endlessly entertained.

There’s also a top-of-the-range playground for fun at any time!

The Elounda Gulf Villas also has a private beach club that children will love just a 10-minute drive from the villa. A shuttle service is available to whisk you there at a moment’s notice.
