There’s nothing quite like the gentle warmth of the sun and a view of undulating hills to give a simple glass of wine on a terrace real ‘aaaah-factor’. Villa Cadenza is a luxury villa in Umbria that is all about simple pleasures, perfectly executed.
This charming property has been decorated in elegant, laid-back style using a palette of calming, pretty neutrals that perfectly set off the rustic wood beams and terracotta floors. A chic living room with large sofas and stone fireplace is a comfortable and quiet place to put your feet up with a good book in the cool of the evening, while a classic country dining room provides the ideal backdrop for delicious candlelit dinners.
There’s lots of living space outside too. On warm evenings, there’s nothing more pleasant than finishing a long meal of local specialities and robust red wines, to find the sun has all but gone and you have a perfect view of the stars overhead. The spacious terraces and gardens are ideal for picnics, a quiet afternoon with a book or soaking up the sun by the side of the delightful swimming pool, just steps from the house.
The peace and quiet here is something to behold, and you can really feel like masters of your own destiny. Whether you want a total escape from the rest of the world, or staff to wait on you hand and foot throughout your stay, you have only to say.

Food and wine are a cornerstone of the experience at Villa Cadenza.
Gourmands will love exploring Umbria’s food scene and bringing back local ingredients to try out, and, if you wish, you can take part in private cookery workshops. The workshops are great fun for children and adults alike, and once you’ve honed your culinary skills, you all sit down to enjoy the meal you’ve prepared together. Fans of foraging might also enjoy taking part in the nearby truffle-hunting course. Two hours of hunting for Umbrian truffles followed by a full meal based around truffles.
If you wish, you can book a private chef for the duration of your stay. The villa has a lovely dining room, which is cool and airy in summer but with the candles lit, highlighting the rustic wood beams, it becomes a very cosy place for cooler nights.
There is also a delightful outdoor dining space, where you can enjoy local specialities (and lashings of local wine, too) with a view out over the Umbrian hills.
Villa Cadenza sleeps eight people across four double en-suite bedrooms.
Each bedroom has been individually decorated. Terracotta tiles and a light and airy feel make each bedroom a wonderful place to retreat to in the evening.
There are a further two guest bathrooms throughout the property.
Cots are available to be added to bedrooms if you are travelling with a baby.
Children have plenty of space to run about here and are certain to enjoy the private outdoor swimming pool.
Baby equipment is available on request for those travelling with children, and the bedrooms are all spacious enough to take a cot.
Villa Cadenza is a luxury villa on the borders of Tuscany and Umbria, not far from Perugia.
Perugia San Francesco d’Assisi airport is a 40 minute drive away. Flights are also available to Florence which is 2 hours drive away, and Rome is 2 hours and 45 minutes away.
