Floors, ceilings and beams have all been restored in traditional Tuscan style and the decor is beautifully conceived in ochres and deep reds, which bring a warm, rustic style to the otherwise neutral palette.

In the bedrooms, soft quilts and plump pillows ensure you’ll enjoy a restful night in the airy and peaceful rooms after a day exploring the countryside. Each of the bedrooms has a stunning bathroom and throughout the property, in the top-of-the-range kitchen and welcoming living areas, every care has been taken to provide the best, the most comfortable, the most appealing of everything.

Outside, there is an inviting infinity swimming pool directly overlooking row after row of vineyards: the epitome of a villa with a sense of place. Location

Villa Cassara is located on the 700-acre estate of Il Borro in Tuscany, around a medieval village. It is located approximately 2.5km from the main facilities on the estate, offering the upmost of privacy perfectly balanced with hotel amenities nearby.

It is recommended that you have your own car to enable you to get the most out of your stay at this luxury villa and the concierge service will be on hand to assist with car hire.

The nearest airport is Florence, approximately a 1 hour drive away.

Eating

A continental breakfast is included in your stay at this luxury villa. The choice is yours as to whether to start the day in the Tuscan Bistro on the estate or have your first meal of the day delivered to your villa each morning, so that you can enjoy your morning coffee and croissants from the terrace whilst admiring the vineyard views.

There are several restaurants on the Il Borro Estate for you to visit and enjoy a flavour of the local food and wines.

The flagship restaurant, the ‘Osteria del Borro’, serves traditional Tuscan cuisine in a unique, contemporary setting. Below this is the Tuscan Bistro, the ideal spot for breakfast or an informal lunch, and serving locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. There is also a large table for tastings and a wonderful open-view cellar. Then there is the Vin Cafe where you might like to enjoy an aperitif or a few drinks after dinner or for lunch.

If you would prefer to dine in the comfort and privacy of your own luxury villa, you also have the option to hire a private chef, whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or wish to have their services throughout your stay.

Kids

Children will love the infinity swimming pool at the villa and will enjoy the vast amounts of outdoor space to run round in.

The Il Borro estate also runs a wide range of activities for children from five years of age. From cookery classes, to painting, golf lessons and even riding on the estate’s own horses, there will be something to appeal to them all.

The horses on the estate are also used for gymkhana events that children who can ride may take part in, as well as being used for ‘getting to know horses’ classes for those who are beginners.

Nannies and babysitters can be arranged with advance notice (at least 24 hours) allowing parents to enjoy an evening out together.
