The minimalist lounge area with generously sized sofas opens out onto shady terraces, with al fresco eating and lounging areas. Our favourite time of day to sit out here is just as the sun goes down. Light the hurricane lamps and bring a bottle of wine out onto the terrace as the heat of the day slips away and the stars begin to come out.

Just beyond is the heated pool, as blue as the St Tropez skies above it, and surrounded by loungers where you can bask like a lizard in the afternoon sun with a good book and take occasional dips to cool down.

Although you are only moments away from the glitz, glamour and razzmatazz of St Tropez, there is plenty to keep you busy on days when you remain in the villa, from a gym and Jacuzzi to a home cinema and library.
