Contemporary, stylish and with lots of little luxuries thrown in, Villa Mila is real find. Set on the island of Brac, looking out over the sparkling sea and over to the mainland and mountains beyond, you won’t find many better views in the whole of Croatia. The Villa has direct access to the sea and its own jetty and moorings where you can set off on adventures discovering the coast from kayaks. There are also complimentary bikes, so you can go exploring the island by road, too.

Every room inside makes the most of those wonderful views. Several of the bedrooms look straight out to sea and have terraces so you can go out and enjoy the sound of the waves as soon as you wake, and the turquoise water is visible from all the main living spaces.

The living room has modern, L-shaped sofas and large footstools; it’s the perfect place to relax and watch a film on the huge smart TV, or to sit in front of a fire roaring in the stone fireplace and watch the waves should a storm roll in. There’s a stylish dining room, looking out over the swimming pool, with a long dining table beneath a Rococo-style chandelier, where you can gather for meals indoors. Nearby is an uber-modern Miele kitchen, kitted out with everything you could need, and with a bar for sociable chatting while you cook.

While there’s lots to explore on the island, you could easily spend your days happily entertained at Villa Mila, Brač. There’s a relaxing spa area with a sauna and space to enjoy beauty treatments, as well as a fitness room, and even a games room for billiards and table tennis championships.

However, this is also a property where you’ll spend more time outdoors than in. The summer kitchen, with barbecue, provides a great set up for long, leisurely dinners at the edge of the sea. Nearby is the outdoor dining and living areas, where you can relax under the shade of a huge palm tree and enjoy food al fresco or lounge in the sun on the comfy sofas.

On hot days, head straight for the stunning swimming pool, with outdoor shower and plenty of sunbathing areas. We recommend popping back at night when the whole swimming pool area is beautifully lit, and enjoying a dip under the stars.

Location

This luxury Croatian villa on the island of Brac, sits in a protected bay adjacent to the pretty village of Sumartin. Villa Mila is located right on the waterfront, with direct access to the sea. You’re conveniently close to all the amenities you need with a supermarket, as well as cafes and bars all just over 1km away.

Brac Airport is less than 20km away and the port at Sumartin only 2km, from which you can reach the mainland and Split airport.

Eating

Villa Mila, Brač, is a luxury self-catering villa and comes with a well-kitted-out kitchen with dishwasher, coffee machine and blender as well as all the equipment you’d expect in a top-of-the-range kitchen, as well as an enviable wine cellar. Outside, there’s a barbecue and outdoor summer kitchen so you can prepare al fresco meals with your group.

Croatia is known for its burgeoning food and restaurant scene. The nearest restaurant is just 100m from the villa itself and there are plenty more a short distance away. Villa Mila’s staff will be only too pleased to help with booking the best tables at the best restaurants for you, and foodies will enjoy exploring the fish and vegetable markets, taking part in local olive oil or wine tastings and generally enjoying exploring the fabulous food on offer locally.

If you’d prefer your stay to be catered, chefs can be booked for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or all three, as you please.

Kids

Children will be totally enchanted by Villa Mila, Brač, where there’s lots to do for kids of all ages. The family-friendly villa’s island location and proximity to the sea are the stuff dream holidays are made of, and there’s also a private swimming pool that big kids and small kids alike will happily spend all day splashing in.

Staff are on hand to help with arranging activities and days out, including kite-surfing, zip-lining and wake-boarding, and the villa comes with three bikes, three kayaks and a stand-up paddleboard to use whenever you wish.

There’s plenty of entertainment at the villa itself, too, with table-tennis and billiards tables as well as Smart TV with satellite for when a quiet afternoon with some cartoons is the order of the day.

Those travelling with young babies will be pleased to hear that the kitchen is supplied with a highchair, and the villa also has a lift, which makes life easier for those with young children still struggling with stairs.
