The glitz of St Tropez is just a few minutes’ drive away, but life here at Villa Onyx is exactly as relaxed and louche as it should be.

The spacious, air-conditioned villa has a lovely open-plan living space where you can slouch on sofas with the papers and enjoy the sea breeze floating in and the wonderful panoramic ocean views, too. From here, a pretty staircase leads down to the quiet of the floor below, home to the bedrooms and library.

Each of the four guest rooms on this floor has a door leading out onto the pool and garden, so you can throw open your doors as soon as you wake each morning.

Outside, there is almost as much living space as there is inside. Several sitting and dining areas mean there is always somewhere to make the most of the sun and the view, whether you’re sitting quietly with a book and a long cocktail or chatting with friends over a wonderful meal, long into the evening.

The enormous swimming pool has a pool house nearby, with summer kitchen and changing areas, meaning you can happily spend all day relaxing here. Every care has been taken to ensure that you can make the most of the outdoor lifestyle here. The calm and cool breeze is the perfect antidote to a morning spent in bustling St Tropez.

Villa Onyx is located in the Belle Isnarde area of St Tropez, close to Pampelonne Beach and the Tahiti beach club and a 5 minute drive into St Tropez itself.

The nearest airports are Toulon-Hyeres, 1 hour away, or Nice, 1 hour and 30 minutes away.

Eating

Start your stay at Villa Onyx with champagne and canapés prepared by your own personal Michelin trained chef.

The villa has several outdoor eating areas, so freshly cooked breakfasts will kick off your mornings, whilst serene lunches can be enjoyed around one of the al fresco dining tables. Six evenings out of seven, you’ll enjoy four course gourmet dinners prepared by your chef. You’ll also be able to relish wonderful, specially selected wines.

St Tropez is just a few minutes’ drive away, so on chef’s night off you’ll find a plethora of fabulous places to dine. Amongst our favourites must be Residence de La Pinede where chef Arnaud Donckele has been three-times Michelin-starred for his wonderful Provencal-inspired food and dishes that are as much a work of art as a meal. Auberge des Maures is also a good find – the oldest restaurant in St Tropez and said to count among its fans David Niven and Charlie Chaplin. For a laid-back lunch, accompanied by some serious relaxation, the Tahiti Club in nearby Pampelonne Beach offers a pizzeria as well as a more fine-dining style restaurant and two bars.

Kids

The villa has a large, heated pool which children of all ages will enjoy playing in and there’s plenty of space both inside and outside the villa for them to run round and let off steam.

Older children and teens will be comfortably accommodated in the pool house bedroom, where they’ll enjoy having their own ‘den’ to retreat to.

Highchairs, cots and a host of other baby equipment can be hired at an additional cost. Nannies and babysitters can be booked on request.
