White-washed walls, shuttered windows and terracotta tiles make for a traditionally Tuscan backdrop and the villa even has its own well, adding charm and character to this delightful location.

Inside, artworks and antiques bring a homely feel. The villa is decorated in a neutral palette throughout but patterned soft furnishings and rugs bring colour and character and make you feel truly at home.

Each of the three double bedrooms has an airy feel, with vaulted ceilings and the breeze blowing in through the window, from which you have views of the Tuscan hills in the distance. The first floor has an additional lounge for relaxing in, and to give everyone a quiet space to enjoy whenever it’s needed.

Downstairs, a spacious living area with TV and a stone fireplace is a lovely spot to escape to in the heat of the day. The dining room nearby opens out onto the private garden, and the large kitchen with colourful Mediterranean wall tiles gives you enough space both to cook and socialise in comfort.

The outdoor space is what really makes Villa Pozzo, however. The private swimming pool, manicured lawns and loungers are just made for relaxing and soaking up the Tuscan sun.

You can enjoy a truly intimate escape from the world here, but the location of the villa on the Viesca estate means that you also have wonderful facilities at your fingertips. Hang out in the spa for the afternoon, kick back in Il Borro with cocktails before dinner, or sit back and let the staff arrange daytime adventures and evening restaurant tables for you, while you just enjoy the wonderful backdrop and make the most of the Tuscan life at Villa Pozzo.

Location

Villa Pozzo is a luxury villa in Tuscany, nestled within the exclusive Viesca Toscana estate, which houses seven villas and a number of suites, as well as a restaurant, shop and a spa all on site.

There are boutique shops only 20 minutes from the villa but you’re also within easy reach of several larger towns and cities, including Florence, Siena and Arezzo all under an hour away. Rome and Venice are also accessible, via a fast train from Florence, for day trips.

The nearest airports are at Florence (35 mins away) and Pisa (1hr 30 mins away).

Eating

This luxury Tuscan villa is located in one of the world’s best areas for food and wine, and eating and drinking well is all part of the experience at Villa Pozzo.

The property is self-catering, which gives you the opportunity to enjoy shopping for local ingredients to cook with as well as making the most of the nearby restaurant scene.

You don’t have to travel too far, however, to enjoy excellent Tuscan food. Villa Pozzo is tucked away on the exclusive Viesca Toscana estate and guests of the estate are welcome to enjoy the on-site restaurant, Il Borro. It’s open all day and evening, serving modern Tuscan cuisine, and even has its own shop where you can buy local specialities to take back to your villa.

The villa itself is a lovely backdrop to long, leisurely meals. Grab a morning coffee at the breakfast table in the cheery, traditional kitchen with its colourful tiles. Gather in the evenings in the elegant dining room and enjoy dinners by candlelight, or take your food outside for a laid-back barbecue by the swimming pool.

If you wish, breakfast can be delivered to the villa each morning at an additional cost.

Kids

Parents looking for a family-friendly Italian villa will find all they need at Villa Pozzo. There’s plenty of room to play in the spacious property, which has two separate lounge areas for relaxing in.

The private swimming pool will be a big draw for kids of all ages, and the large lawned areas are just made for boisterous play.

While there’s lots to keep them busy at the villa itself, young adventures might enjoy taking part in tennis or horse-riding lessons on the estate. The villa’s staff will also be only to pleased to help with booking excursions and day trips to cities further afield.
