Location

The villa is located in the sprawling grounds of five-star boutique Eden Reserve Hotel. It sits on the hillside above the picturesque small town of Gardone Riviera, which draws holidaymakers and locals to its pretty cafés, botanical gardens and boutiques.

It’s approximately a 10-minute downhill stroll into Gardone and the lake shore, although with a shuttle service at your disposal (within 10km), you wouldn’t need to walk anywhere.

The nearest airport is Verona, just over an hour drive. If travelling by helicopter, there is also an on-site heliport available on request.

Eating

Half board is included during your stay, with a private chef on hand to prepare mouth-watering meals for you in the comfort of your villa. After a room service breakfast courtesy of the hotel, you can choose whether you’d prefer lunch or dinner service, giving you the opportunity to sample some local eateries, too.

If you’re in the mood for a more informal meal, there’s a private barbecue on the villa’s terrace where you can rustle up sizzling al fresco feasts. Guests can also dine at the Eden Reserve Hotel’s gourmet restaurant, La Celeste, which serves up perfectly presented seasonal Italian cuisine.

Your villa also comes with a private golf cart to travel around the resort grounds, which comes in handy when little legs get tired.

Down at the lake (just a 10-minute downhill walk away), Gardone’s pebble beaches have Blue Flag status and there are two lidos. Water babies will be spoilt for choice, with the chance to try out watersports including paddle boarding and canoeing.

At evening mealtimes, if you prefer to sit down to a grown-up dinner in peace, then simply arrange early kids’ dinners with your private chef. Bliss.
