Eating
With your own private chef, every meal at this luxury villa is an event. You’ll enjoy full English breakfasts as well as afternoon tea daily, which will be a welcome sight after a day of sunbathing or trying out the hotel’s facilities, all freshly prepared by your chef.
You’ll also find complimentary non-alcoholic drinks in The Villa during your stay. Alcoholic beverages are charged additionally, as is all food, with the exception of breakfast and afternoon tea.
Food is a true delight in the Caribbean as the cuisine tends to be rich and obviously the seafood is exquisite. During your luxury villa holiday, your private chef will no doubt serve flying fish, which accounts for more than half of all the fish landed on the island. Whether barbecued, served in a sandwich or with the traditional ‘cou-cou’, it truly sums up Barbados.
During your stay, you are also welcome to dine at one of Sandy Lane’s four excellent restaurants. L’Acajou offers formal fine dining in a magical setting overlooking the ocean. For beachside Barbados dining, the atmospheric and informal Bajan Blue is located on the Lower Terrace, serving a mélange of European, Caribbean and Asian influenced cuisine. It has a modern wine bar, sushi station and state-of-the-art grill and as a guest of the Sandy Lane Villa you will also enjoy a complimentary Sunday brunch in the Bajan Blue restaurant.
The Spa Café offers a casual day time menu, including soups, salads and sandwiches in a soothing setting beside the swimming pool and waterfall – an ideal spot for lunch to break up a heavenly spa day.
Golf enthusiasts, and everyone else too, will love The Clubhouse Restaurant, located high above the coastline with views across the greens to the Caribbean Sea below. Comfortable and relaxed, this restaurant serves light leisurely lunches, relaxed coffees and cocktails.
