Cosy, comfortable and with true rustic beauty, Villa Alba is a wonderful retreat, ideal for a family of four with visiting guests, or a small group of friends.
Perched on top of a peaceful hillside, looking out over the Val d’Orcia natural park, the stone farmhouse has been lovingly restored to create a luxury Tuscan villa you’ll feel right at home in within seconds of arrival.
For food-lovers, the open-plan country kitchen is a lovely space in which to potter, throwing together fabulous local ingredients and fresh vegetables and herbs from the estate’s own kitchen garden. Alternatively, sit back and let a private chef do the work while you open a few bottles of local wine. In the cosy sitting room, comfy sofas are gathered around a stone fireplace and flatscreen TV.
The two beautifully designed bedrooms are decked out in Italian country style, with pretty stripes and checks bringing the neutral backdrop to life.
The jewel in this luxury villa’s crown, however, is outside. A striking infinity pool is the perfect spot to relax with a book and a picnic for the whole day if you like. And up by the house, a pergola shades the al fresco living and dining areas, making outdoor living the order of the day.
And while you feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere here, you’re only ever a stroll away from the ‘borgo’ of the Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco estate, on which the villa is located, with its restaurants, sauna, steam room and experienced staff to ensure you want for nothing during your stay here.
This luxury villa with private swimming pool is set on the a 5,000-acre estate of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco. Immersed in the UNESCO-listed Val d’ Orcia Natural Park, just outside Siena, the estate is also home to a private golf course, a leading Brunello di Montalcino winery and nature reserve, as well as a dense forest with deer, pheasants and wild boar.
The nearest airports are Florence, which is 1 hour 45 minutes away, and Pisa which is approximately a 2 hour 15 minute drive away. Private transfers to and from the hotel by helicopter or car can be arranged from the airports or main cities.

The interiors are neutral and contemporary, and if you eat outside on the terrace you’ll enjoy a wonderful view of the hills and woodland below.
