A secret refuge from the world, hidden in plain sight in one of Europe’s loveliest hotels, Villa W offers a magical combination of total privacy and fabulous facilities.

Nestled in the estate of the prestigious Lily of the Valley Hotel on the St Tropez peninsula, renowned for its wellbeing and health facilities, is this quiet and secluded luxury villa, shielded from view by shrubs and trees and with panoramic views of the sparkling Mediterranean sea.

The villa is served by a butler who has their own service access, meaning they are virtually invisible, yet somehow always at hand just when you need them. Dedicated staff are always available, from before your stay when they will be in touch to help personalise your experience, to the moment you close the front door behind you and head back to reality.

As well as three uber-stylish bedrooms (the interiors were all signed off by Philippe Starck), there’s also a large living space, where you can gather with friends to read, relax and chat, all with that wonderful view of the coastline. If you need a little time to yourself, head to the private sauna or take the papers to the study, which is also equipped with fibre-optic broadband just in case the office can’t do without you for a few days.

But our favourite parts of Villa W by far are the magnificent outdoor spaces, from the lush gardens to the 17-metre lap pool and shady terraces equipped with daybeds and comfy chairs for relaxing to the max.

It’s easy to feel like you’re completely alone here, but in fact, all the facilities of the Lily of the Valley Hotel are there to ensure you want for nothing. Make use of the raft of fabulous restaurants whenever you wish, head to the private beach club for sand, sea and lunch in the sun or relax in the Shape Club, where healthy eating and healthy living are top of the agenda. Fitness fans will also enjoy the two heated semi-Olympic pools, large fitness rooms, studios for classes and the fleet of mountain bikes for you to use to whizz off on adventures.

After days packed with a mixture of activity and rest and relaxation, you’re sure to sleep well in your luxury holiday villa, but just to make sure, the staff will have your king-size bed dressed with cool, comfortable French linens and offer a menu of pillows to ensure the perfect night’s sleep.

Location

This luxury villa on the French Riviera, close to Saint Tropez, is set within its own gardens in the grounds of the exclusive Lily of the Valley Hotel.

The beach club is just moments away, as are all the hotel’s amenities, and the property has stunning views of the Bay of Gigaro.

If you wish to visit the glamorous town of St Tropez, it is 25 minutes drive.

The nearest international airport is Nice, approximately 90 minutes drive away or 20 minutes by helicopter.

Eating

This luxury villa is part of the Lily of the Valley Hotel, and guests are welcome to eat at the hotel’s four restaurants. Vista is open from breakfast through to the end of the evening and has a Mediterranean menu with a Provencal slant and views of the sea, while The Clubhouse is a relaxing spot for a light lunch or snack during the day. For an Italian meal at the water’s edge, Brigantine offers a fabulous experience, and for relaxed food any time of day with the sand beneath your feet, head to Pepe, the beach club.

If you prefer to eat in the privacy of your villa, room service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For those who like to self-cater sometimes, there’s an excellent pantry and plenty of space to dine both indoors and out.

All the catering is overseen by head chef Vincent Maillard, who has a passion for seasonal and local food from the land and sea surrounding the villa, and this core concept stretches across the menus for all of Lily of the Valley’s restaurants and room service.

Kids

Kids are welcome at Villa W and, for under-twos, extra beds can be provided to go in the spacious bedrooms.

Older kids will love the proximity to the beach and the long private pool in the villa’s grounds as well as the bikes for hire and grounds to roam in. Please note that the pool is not enclosed, so younger guests may need supervision.
