There are endless options for relaxation at this six-bedroom waterside oasis: take a stroll in the luscious gardens dotted with umbrella pines and classic Mediterranean shrubs, seek out some shade and curl up with a book in the outdoor lounge pergola, or go for a refreshing dip in the swimming pool.

Inside this attractive luxury villa, the vibe is restful and homely, while tiled floors, whitewashed walls and a minimalist décor create a cool retreat from the midday heat. There’s a bright open-plan living area and you’re never far from the glorious sea view, whether you’re cooking up a storm in the characterful kitchen, playing games in the lounge or catching up on emails in the home office/lounge area on the mezzanine level.

Opt for bedroom one for a terrace and a dazzling sea view, or bedroom two for a verdant garden view. These two rooms come with their own en-suite shower room for extra privacy. The rest of the bedrooms are housed on the lower level, with a double en-suite bedroom and three further double/twin rooms sharing a bathroom, ideal for children.

Casa Lycka is positioned a 1 minute walk to Escalet Beach near the medieval village of Ramatuelle. It’s just a 15-minute drive from St Tropez where you’ll find high-end boutiques, restaurants and bars and a 10 minutes drive from Pampelonne beaches.

Transfers from Nice airport take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

A barbecue makes it easy to stay outdoors, but for all mod cons at your fingertips, head into the kitchen – which is a dream space to cook up a storm with its fitted units and sea view.

A private chef can be arranged on request to cater for special occasions or when you feel like a night off.

St Tropez’s upscale bars and restaurants can be reached in a 15-minute drive.
