Spread over three floors, there is ample room for you and your party. The communal rooms are tastefully decorated and luxuriously appointed, with fabulous soft furnishings making the most of the high ceilings and tall windows. The spacious dining and living areas are wonderful spots to spend an evening in comfort should the weather not sustain dining and socialising al fresco on the spacious terraces. The bedrooms are individually decorated and some have balconies with lake views.

Outside, you’ll love to wander among the statues and topiary, between azaleas and rhododendrons, in the 25 acres of gardens that lead down to the lake and across to the hotel. We guarantee the walk to the bar is even more pleasurable than the bar itself here – no mean feat!

Eating

Villa Maddelena stands in the grounds of a five-star hotel, so there are plenty of excellent options for eating here. The formal Veranda restaurant offers Italian haute cuisine and spectacular views over lake and garden. For a more casual meal, try the Grill restaurant. In summer, experience eating at Il Platano, where relaxed food is served under the ancient plane trees. There are also a number of bars where you can enjoy a light snack while you have a drink and enjoy the view or listen to a live band.

A continental breakfast can be brought to you in your villa, or you may wish to enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel. Room service is available throughout the day.
