Description
Traditional style, executed with a contemporary touch is what it’s all about at Chalet la Datcha. This luxury ski chalet in Verbier has all the cosy good looks of a traditional Alpine chalet and yet is utterly modern in its approach.
When you enter the chalet after a day out on Verbier’s slopes you find a ski room with heated boot warmers, laundry room, a WC and shower. Everything you could need to get dry and warm before you collapse in the chalet’s cosy living quarters.
Here, in the spacious and airy living room, wood panelling and contemporary furniture and furnishings bring a really comfy and cosy feel. It’s impossible not to relax here. A huge L-shaped sofa offers everyone plenty of space to sprawl and catch up in the afternoons, once you’ve warmed up with hot drinks and homemade cakes and savouries.
You may also like to head down to the spa in the afternoons, where a hot tub, sauna and Hammam will ease away any aches and pains you’ve picked up on the slopes. After a couple of hours’ relaxation you’ll feel fully rested and restored, and ready for the evening’s festivities.
The chalet’s staff are always on hand to ensure your every whim is met. In the evenings, your host and chef will work together to ensure every meal is one to remember. European wines, matched to your menus, are on tap throughout dinner, which is always carefully planned and beautifully executed, using local ingredients wherever possible.
After dinner, we highly recommend you take your digestifs out onto the stunning south-facing balconies to enjoy the night air and the views. Then wend your way to your luxury en-suite bedrooms, where every care has been taken to ensure your maximum comfort. Get there early to bag the master suite, which has its own sofa, fireplace and terrace.
We think you’ll have sweet dreams in any of Chalet la Datcha’s beautiful bedrooms though, and will wake refreshed, ready to tackle all the adventures a luxury ski holiday in Verbier has to offer.
