Enquire Live ChatWe have over 50 luxury ski chalets in Morzine, spread across the town and the adjoining village of Montriond. It’s one of the Alps’ most popular ski resorts, which is why we’ve planned hundreds of luxury ski holidays to Morzine for our clients. We inspect the chalets to ensure facilities and service are of the highest standard. The resort’s layout makes ski-in/ski-out rare, so the chalets often provide a chauffeur.

Morzine is the largest resort in the Portes du Soleil ski area. Once a traditional farming village, it has grown into a lively town where converted barns now house high-end luxury chalets. While the architecture retains its historic alpine charm, many interiors of the luxury chalets in Morzine are strikingly modern.
Popular with adventurous skiers, Morzine has grown into a lively small town without losing its French alpine charm. Just over an hour from Geneva Airport, it is an excellent choice for long weekends or family ski holidays with minimal transfer time.
As Morzine has expanded, development has extended down the valley to nearly absorb the hamlet of Montriond. We also offer a number of luxury ski chalets in Montriond, with convenient access to the Ardent lift and the wider Portes du Soleil ski area too.
With many new buildings and luxury developments, there’s a wide choice of luxury chalets in Morzine. Competition is strong, with each one striving to outdo the next in size, design, facilities and service. As a result, prices in Morzine remain highly competitive for this level of product and quality when compared with other luxury ski resorts.
Unlike resorts constrained by narrow valley floors, Morzine’s rolling hills allow for more expansive development, creating excellent value for exceptional properties without the premium that comes with limited space.
Chalet Tataali is a brilliant example of this with its built-in slide, climbing wall, expansive swimming pool, wellness area and games room. It reflects Morizine as a resort, developed with family fun in mind, where even the architecture feels playful.
Of course, if location is a priority, we have a selection of central luxury apartments in Morzine with everything on your doorstep, while still providing a stylish space to unwind at the end of the day.
Our team have been organising luxury ski holidays to Morzine for over a decade and would be delighted to recommend some of our favourite luxury apartments in Morzine, such as Penthouse Mathilde or Apartment Les Abeilles.
A luxury ski chalet in Morzine is an excellent base for exploring the vast Portes du Soleil ski area. With 650km of pistes, it is one of the largest ski areas in France and Switzerland and offers an impressive variety for all abilities, including plenty of gentle, open runs for beginners and intermediates.
Morzine sits at the heart of the ski area, making it easy to access the wider Portes du Soleil network. From here, you can ski on two sides of the domain: Morzine-Avoriaz and Morzine-Les Gets.
On the Morzine-Avoriaz side, accessed via the Super Morzine lift, the ski area is larger and connects directly to Avoriaz. This purpose-built resort sits at a higher altitude, offering reliable snow conditions up to 2,320m.
One of the advantages of staying in Morzine is that you can enjoy quick access to Avoriaz’s high-altitude slopes while staying in its more traditional and substantial town with a broader choice of larger luxury chalets. Many luxury chalets in Morzine offer driver services to the Prodains gondola, which is a direct lift straight up to Avoriaz.
From Avoriaz, you can ski into the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil, where the slopes are often quieter, and the mountain restaurants feel more traditional, with charming family-run huts ideal for lunch.
One of the routes over is via one of Europe’s most famous pistes: the Swiss Wall. This is an extremely demanding black run. It’s never groomed, so it develops large moguls sometimes the size of small cars, and its upper section is considered one of the steepest marked slopes in the world. For advanced skiers, it is a must-try challenge during a ski holiday in the area.
Our ski specialists recommend stopping at the O’Padcha at the top to refuel before or after the run. Even if everyone in the group isn’t taking on the challenge, it’s still a unique spot for lunch. With a line running down the centre of the terrace, you can choose whether to dine on the French or Swiss side of the restaurant.
From the other side of Morzine via the Pleney lift, you can access the Morzine-Les Gets ski area. It’s at the top of the Pleney lift where the main ski schools meet.
Morzine is an excellent choice for beginners thanks to its highly regarded instructors, family-friendly facilities, and confidence-building blue and green tree-lined runs, especially on this side of the ski area. More advanced skiers can also head to the Nyon area for steeper and more challenging terrain.
We also offer a range of luxury chalets and apartments in Les Gets. Staying in Les Gets broadens your accommodation options while offering a quieter base with access to the same excellent slopes.
Several luxury chalets in Morzine and Les Gets provide driver services across the resorts, giving you flexibility throughout your week.
Morzine’s town sits in the valley bottom at 1,000m but offers quick access to the higher-altitude slopes of Avoriaz with skiing up to 2,320m. This means skiing and good snow can be easily accessed regardless of weather conditions.
Having the main town down at 1,000m has several advantages, as it is often less cold than higher-altitude resorts like Val Thorens, which can fare badly in storm conditions. Morzine is ideal for mixed family multi-generational groups, as elderly non-skiing members are less likely to face any ice streets and can still enjoy a fully functioning town rather than just a ski resort and snow front.
A luxury ski holiday in Morzine is incredibly versatile; however, Morzine is not just a winter destination. Equally as popular in summer, Morzine is a mecca for mountain biking, with a huge array of lift-accessed tracks. Morzine also attracts a number of road cyclists and hikers alike.
Morzine is not just reserved for luxury ski holidays in the centre of Morzine, there is a large multi-sport complex which is a perfect base for swimming, tennis, horse riding and other sports both in summer and winter. Morzine is therefore the perfect destination for an active holiday, where you can both relax in your luxury chalet and enjoy everything it has to offer.
Morzine’s apres-ski scene has developed significantly over the last few years. It’s always been a decent-sized town with a good range of bars and pubs; however, most recently, the Tremplin has had an exciting renovation, with a large new terrace, multiple levels, disco bathrooms, and a slide.
On the slopes, you can access Avoriaz, which has a Folie Douce for an entertaining lunch at La Fruitière and dancing on the tables into the afternoon.
Many luxury chalets in Morzine offer a private chauffeur service that can pick you up once you’re done with après-ski, while several offer a 24/7 service that can take you back out into Morzine town for the evening or help get you home late into the night.
Each year in mid-March, the Portes du Soleil also hosts the Rock the Pistes festival, with various stages across the ski area and a great line-up of live acts. Usually, in mid-March, if you want to really combine music into your luxury ski trip to Morzine, this could be the week for you.
