The Greek island of Corfu is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful of the islands in Greece. Visitors will find an idyllic landscape of Mediterranean pine forests, rocky coves, ancient olive groves and picturesque fishing villages with harbours lined with charming tavernas.
Located in the Ionian Sea, Corfu is the second largest of the Greek Islands, and has more than 200km of coastline, a mountainous interior dotted with quaint villages and is home to some truly stunning luxury villas.

One of the great simple pleasures of a holiday in Greece is watching the world go by from a harbourside taverna. Tavernas are everywhere in Corfu, so it is never hard to find a great place to sit for a while, enjoy some local Greek cuisine and soak up the ambience.
Corfu offers endless idyllic walks along the coastline and through the fishermen’s villages, with olive trees, stunning landscape and ancient little churches dotted around.
A few of our favourite spots are:
Agios Stefanos on the North-East coast of Corfu is a gorgeous little harbour village with a string of tavernas lining the quayside, and pretty fishing boats fringing the bay.
Pick a spot along the quay for a morning coffee and watch the plethora of fishing boats and yachts coming and going.
Agios Stefanos, A small village in Corfu, Greece
Kassiopi is a delightfully charming village on the north-east coast of Corfu. There are a few beaches dotted around nearby and plenty of charming restaurants to try the local catch of the day, all with stunning views over the harbour and across the sea.
One of my favourite activities on a luxury villa holiday in Greece is to get out on the water in a boat. I would highly recommend hiring a boat for the day, whether it’s a small, ‘self-drive’ boat to potter around the local area or a larger, faster boat with a skipper.
You can explore the myriad of little coves and hidden beaches, find perfect deserted swimming spots and then moor up in front of a waterside taverna for lunch. A boat trip on your holiday in Corfu will be a highlight of your trip.
If you rent a luxury villa on the waterfront, we can assist with organising a boat for you for the day, and depending on access, you can maybe even get your skipper to pick you up directly from your property’s own jetty.
You may recall ‘The Durrells’, a family in the 1930s who lived in Corfu for 4 years in a beautiful house near Kassiopi and the subject of a UK television show. You can take your boat round to Kalami Bay and see the house they lived in!
If you’re the type of person who enjoys exploring the rich history of your destination and soaking up the local culture, going to see Corfu Town is an absolute must, even just for a day.
Wander the narrow, winding lanes of the old town, browse the shops and explore the ancient churches, fortresses and museums. They are well worth the short inclines, and there is an array of restaurants and bars on the shorefront for you to cool down in afterwards.
There are some great beaches to be found dotted around the island.
Sandy Avlaki Beach is located in the North East and has very shallow water, so it is great for families with young children.
Whether you prefer to explore the island, get active or just relax in your luxury villa in Corfu, our expert team can help design your perfect stay.
Nothing short of spectacular, Villa Atokos is a breathtaking ultra-luxury villa in Corfu. The villa is built cascading down the cliff-side, so the views are to die for.
