About St. Christoph
For those seeking rest and relaxation as well as thrills and spills, a luxury ski chalet in St. Christoph may be the perfect solution. As part of the huge Arlberg ski region and a quick drive from St. Anton and Zurs, St. Christoph has access to a great range of skiing, with something to suit all abilities, yet it’s relatively small and unknown, giving it a really intimate feel.
The town sits in a snow bowl, making it feel like a real retreat from the world, and the muffled quiet here in the evening makes a pleasant change from some of its liver neighbour St. Anton, and a good choice for young families. However, if you want to party as hard as you ski, the nightlife is all there waiting for you a short chauffeured drive away.
With enviable snow fall throughout the season, the skiing is particularly well-suited to intermediate skiers, but there are good advanced and beginner slopes, too. A super-speedy quad chair lift will whizz you over to St. Anton in no time. From here you can ski to Stuben or simply enjoy the off-piste skiing available.
If you’re planning a day off from the slopes and the comfort of your luxury chalet, St. Christoph has plenty more to keep you busy. From tobogganing to sleigh rides and curling to paragliding, you’ll find activities enough to work up an appetite for your après ski.
Innsbruck Airport is an hour away. Zurich is 2 hours away.
Best places to eat and drink in St. Christoph
St. Christoph itself has a small but select scene, but the luxury ski chalets tend to be well appointed so it’s not too much of a problem. The Arlberg Hospiz restaurant will be popular with gourmands. Top quality ingredients and a wonderful cellar (accessed by slide!) make for an extremely pleasant evening and you’ll have a lovely view of the slopes, too.
Over in St Anton, you’ll be spoilt for choice. We particularly like Vinzenz for modern cuisine done really well and The Museum for a dining experience with added atmosphere.
Best time to visit St. Christoph
St. Christoph's winter season starts from early December to mid April and is snow-sure for most of the season. Its altitude means the snow tends to hang around a bit longer here, too.
