Little known St. Christoph is a hidden gem. This tiny village is home to a handful of smart hotels, restaurants and luxury ski chalets and has a peaceful, upmarket feel. It’s high too (at 1800m) so snow is assured during the season.

St. Christoph is blessed with a fantastic location in the centre of the superb Arlberg ski region. Sitting halfway between St. Anton, Lech and Zurs guests staying in a luxury ski chalet in St. Christoph have fast access to the whole Arlberg ski area. A fast quad chair links St. Christoph to the St. Anton area.
For those seeking rest and relaxation as well as thrills and spills, a luxury ski chalet in St. Christoph may be the perfect solution. As part of the huge Arlberg ski region, this resort has access to a great range of skiing not only in St.Christoph but in the larger neighbouring resorts of St. Anton and Zurs. There is something to suit all abilities, yet it’s relatively small and unknown, giving it a really intimate feel.
The town sits in a snow bowl, making it feel like a real retreat from the world, and the muffled quiet here in the evening makes a pleasant change from its liver neighbour St. Anton, and a good choice for young families on a luxury ski holiday in St.Christoph. However, if you want to party as hard as you ski, the nightlife is all there waiting for you a short chauffeured drive away.
If you’re planning a day off from the slopes and the comfort of your luxury chalet, St. Christoph has plenty more to keep you busy. From tobogganing to sleigh rides and curling to paragliding, you’ll find activities enough to work up an appetite for your après ski.
St. Christoph’s winter season starts from early December to mid-April and is snow-sure for most of the season. Its altitude means the snow tends to hang around a bit longer here, too.
St. Christoph is ideally positioned for easy access to the Arlberg ski area with quick links to St Anton and Lech/Zurs.
The nearest airport is Innsbruck which is 1 hr 15 mins away. Zurich airport is a 2 hr 10 min drive away and Friedrichshafen airport is 1 hr 45 mins away.
Part of the Arlberg ski area and with enviable snowfall throughout the season, the skiing is particularly well-suited to intermediate skiers, but there are good advanced and beginner slopes, too. A super-speedy quad chair lift will whizz you over to St. Anton in no time. From here you can ski to Stuben or simply enjoy the off-piste skiing available.
The lower slopes offer a quiet area for beginners to practice before they are ready to head higher up the mountain. The resort also has ski-in/ski-out facilities, which leaves more time spent on the slopes.
St. Christoph itself has a small but select culinary scene, but the luxury ski chalets tend to be well-appointed with chefs so it’s not too much of a problem. The Arlberg Hospiz restaurant will be popular with gourmands. Top-quality ingredients and a wonderful cellar (accessed by slide!) make for an extremely pleasant evening and you’ll have a lovely view of the slopes, too.
Away from your luxury ski chalet, over in St Anton, you’ll be spoilt for choice. We particularly like Vinzenz for modern cuisine done well and The Museum for a dining experience with added atmosphere.
