Why should I book through Firefly Collection?
We take the effort and stress out of finding and booking your perfect luxury villa or ski chalet – all for no extra cost to you.
 
You can just tell us what you are looking for, and then we will find the best luxury property that fit your requirements, dates and budget.
 
We are an independent agency, not tied to any particular properties, so we search the whole market for you and give you impartial advice on the best options.
 
That means there is no need for you to trawl the internet for hours, trying to find a suitable property, contacting multiple companies, checking rates and availability separately, and hoping they are what they say they are. We do all that for you.
 
Because we have decades of experience, we know which are the best property owners, operators and best properties in each region, resort and price range.
 
We visit the properties ourselves, stay in them, experience the service, sample the cuisine and meet the operational teams – we know which ones deliver and which ones don’t.
 
Then once you have chosen your property, we go above and beyond to ensure your luxury holiday is the best it can be. We’re by your side, doing all the hard work.
How does Firefly Collection get us the best price?
Firstly, we don’t add any fees for our service. The rates we quote are the same rates quoted by the property themselves.
 
What’s more, because we have strong relationships with the owners, we can sometimes negotiate a discounted rate for you.
 
We always pass on any price reductions to you in full, so you won’t find a lower price anywhere else.
What is the cost for Firefly Collection's service?
There is no extra cost over the normal rental cost for our services.
 
We don’t add any markup or fees to the rental price for our service.
 
The rates we quote to you are the exact same rates as the property would quote you directly.
Can Firefly Collection arrange flights and airport transfers?
We don’t book flights but we can assist you with booking transfers from the airport to your property.
 
Once you’ve booked your flights, just let us know the details and we will get you a quotation from one of our preferred transfer companies. We can advise you on the closest airports for your property.

How do I find out the prices and availability of the properties?
To give you a rough idea of the pricing of each property, we include a ‘From’ and a ’To’ price on each property page, which generally speaking, is a low season rate and a high season rate.
 
If you would like to know the rate and availability for a property for a particular week, please get in touch.
 
Just let us know what you are looking for and we can also suggest similar luxury properties that are available for your preferred dates, to match your budget and requirements.
 
Then you can choose your favourite, without the legwork.
How do I book these properties?
Once you’ve decided which property you would like to book just let us know and we will secure it with the operator. We will then send you the booking contract with the booking terms and an invoice to make the payment.
 
Your booking contract will be directly with the operator, rather than Firefly Collection, so the exact booking terms vary from operator to operator.
Can I add my luxury property to the collection?
We are very selective about which properties are invited to be part of the Firefly Collection, but if you think your property has got what it takes, please email us on enquiries@firefly-collection.com with the details for consideration.
How do I know that Firefly Collection is genuine?
Firefly Collection has been operating since 2011 and we are a UK registered company at Companies House. We have built up a very good reputation amongst our clients, villa partners and the suppliers we work with. All of our team members regularly go on trips to view and stay in the villas and meet the villa operators personally. We believe in operating with integrity, honesty and respect to maintain our good reputation long in the future.
 
We have been nominated for many years as the UK’s Best Villa Agent (British Travel Awards) and the World’s Best Ski Chalet Agent (World Ski Awards).
Where can I get brochures?

You can download a brochure for a single property, directly from that properties page on the website. Or, you can create a brochure featuring multiple properties. To do that: Add properties to your shortlist. Then go to your shortlist (tap the heart in the top menu) and follow the instructions to receive your custom brochure.

Can I save my favourite properties to review later?

Yes. You can shortlist your favourite properties to create a personal collection. Just tap ‘Add to Shortlist’ on a property. This list can be viewed by tapping the heart in the top menu.

Should I get travel insurance?

Yes. It is your responsibility to ensure you are adequately covered. When you make a booking you agree to take out a policy of insurance in order to cover you and your party against the cost of cancellation; the cost of assistance (including repatriation) in the event of accident or illness; end supplier failure; loss of baggage and money; and other expenses.

Some protection is provided in booking contracts, such as cancellation windows, but the details vary from property to property.

What is the cancellation policy?

The cancellation terms vary by property. Your booking is directly with the property operator, rather than with Firefly Collection, and therefore the cancellation policy is determined by the terms of each property contract. Please contact us to enquire about the cancellation policy for a specific property.

Who is my booking contract with?

Your booking contract is directly with the operator of the property and not with Firefly Collection. Firefly Collection act solely as an agent and is not a holiday provider. The booking terms and conditions vary by property and are determined by the property operator and are stated in the individual booking contract.

What are high season prices and low season prices?

Most properties use seasonal prices to vary the daily/weekly/monthly rental cost based on the time of year.

 

This is because most customers want the property at the same time of year, for example Christmas, New Year and February half term at a luxury ski chalet, or during summer at a luxury villa. Property owners charge full price when they are guaranteed to be booked, then lower the price at less demanded times to make it more appealing.

 

Where possible, we state the lowest and highest seasonal prices on our website, so that you can easily understand the price range of the property. It can help to think of these prices not as high/low cost, but as the price for when there is high/low demand for the property.

 

For example, if you are looking for a villa in the middle of the warmer months, you will want to use the higher price as an estimate. If you are looking for a villa outside of that time, you can use the lower price as an estimate.

Chalet FAQ

What is included with a luxury chalet?
The service level and inclusions vary from property to property, so there is no standard list.
 
We work with dozens of different chalet operators and each of our 700+ luxury chalets is special in its own way. Our portfolio ranges from ultra-luxury ski chalets with their own team of staff including chefs, butlers, drivers, hosts, and housekeepers, to self-catered deluxe chalets and everything in between.
 
If you have particular service requirements for your chalet holiday, our experts will gladly provide chalet options to suit.
 
The specific inclusions for each property will be noted on your proposal.
Which resort should I go to?
Having lived and worked in ski resorts and been on innumerable ski trips all over the Alps, our team know the ski resorts inside out.
 
Whether you are looking for a lively resort with great après-ski, or an easy, family-friendly resort to take the children, we can help. Or perhaps you have non-skiers in your group? Or you would like to travel to the Alps in the summer?
 
So if you are wondering where would be best for your group, our experts are more than happy to advise.

Can you help me organise ski lessons, ski hire, lift passes, heli skiing etc?
