Cosy and contemporary, Alaska Lodge Apartment 5 at Alaska Lodge residence is a great base from which to explore the best of Val d’Isère.
This beautiful building accommodates six luxury ski apartments and is situated in a quiet spot, but is still just half a kilometre from the town centre, so you can make the most of both the shops and restaurants and the skiing.
Step inside and a modern, textured feel using rich woods and natural stone is set off by nods to traditional Alpine style, such as vintage sledges and animal skin rugs. The living room has at its heart a comfy seating area with squashy sofas and armchairs gathered around a flatscreen TV and a modern fireplace. When you come home from an energetic day on the mountain, you’ll be grateful to sink into those cushions with an apéritif in hand. Next to the well-equipped kitchen is a contemporary dining space where you and your friends can gather over good food and wine to hatch plans for the next day’s adventures.
Outside is a spacious terrace, which is furnished so you can enjoy the mountain air over your morning coffee and there is also a private hot tub, tucked under the eaves. Just add a glass of bubbly and a good book.
You’ll retire each evening to cosy bedrooms, with warm duvets, plump pillows and faux-fur throws, and three of the four rooms enjoy en-suite shower rooms stocked with beauty products to make your everyday ablutions a pampering treat.
