One of the biggest penthouses in the Alps and far and away the biggest and best in St Moritz, Carlton Penthouse Suite is a truly special property in which to unwind for a week.
The penthouse is reached via a private lift and takes over the entire eighth floor of the prestigious Carlton Hotel. As a guest of the hotel you’ll have access to all the Carlton’s amenities, including restaurants and bars, room service, 24-hour concierge and The Carlton Spa. But at the end of a busy day on St Moritz’s slopes, you’ll also be able to indulge in total privacy and peace.
The living spaces exude a gentleman’s club feel, with capacious sofas and a coffee table gathered in front of the statement wood burning fireplace, exposed beams above and huge artworks and upholstered armchairs providing a cosy feel. At one end is a secluded corner housing a contemporary dining space. At the other, sophisticated loungers and a TV area, with a comfortable home office tucked under the eaves. The whole space has a quiet, sophisticated feel and there’s plenty of space both to gather together and to find a little peace and quiet, too.
The sense of old-fashioned grandeur is offset by top-of-the-range technology such as underfloor heating, Dyson air purifiers and humidifiers and a Piega music entertainment system, that all combine to create a luxury ski penthouse where comfort is top of the agenda.
Outside, five balconies wrap around the penthouse, giving amazing 360-degree views of the mountains and Lake St Moritz. On your return form skiing in the afternoons, relax on the outdoor loungers with a drink and take in the mountain air and the afternoon sun. Alternatively, head down to the beautiful wellness area to unwind; indulge in relaxing spa treatments, take a few laps of the indoor/outdoor swimming pool or work up more sweat in the fitness studio.

As guests of the Carlton Hotel, you’ll be able to enjoy some of the best restaurants in St Moritz. The hotel hosts two outstanding restaurants: the Romanoff, which offers modern takes on global menus, and Da Vittorio St Moritz, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine, designed by the world-renowned Cerea brothers.
There’s also the Sun Terrace where you can enjoy a light lunch, and the much-loved Carlton Bar and Belle Etage, for a drink and a snack before or after dinner, or even an afternoon tea by the roaring fire. Do make sure you make time for a meal in one of the hotel’s Fondue Gondolas, too – a cheese feast for two to four people in an upcycled ski lift, right outside the hotel. Not one to miss!
As part of your stay you’ll receive a culinary credit of CHF 100 per person / per day, which you can spend in any of the hotel’s bars and restaurants or on room service. The Penthouse Suite has a cosy and quirky modern dining space with Knoll-style furniture under a statement chandelier and a beautiful view from the picture window. A small but perfectly formed kitchen is packed with all the top-of-the-range equipment you could need should you wish to whip up a bite to eat and your butler is on hand to top up drinks, fix snacks and take care of anything you need.

Children will find themselves well entertained at this family-friendly ski apartment. The Carlton Penthouse Suite gives you the best of both worlds, with plenty of your own space for the kids to play and make their own, but all the facilities of a world class hotel right on your doorstep.
There’s a kids’ club open daily from 10am to 7pm for children from three years where highly trained, multi-lingual childminders will take care of them, encouraging play and friendships. There is also plenty to interest older children with a Playstation, table football and much more.

The exclusive Carlton Hotel is perched up above Lake St Moritz, away from the bustle of the town centre but within easy reach of everything you need. St Moritz’s designer stores, boutiques and cafes are all a stone’s throw away for days when you aren’t on the slopes and there is also a plethora of restaurants to enjoy.
Zurich airport is approximately 3 hours by car and 3,5 hours with the Glacier express and Milano airport is approximately 3 hours by car and 5 hours with the train.
