Cervo is contemporary chic personified. Set high above the glamorous town of Zermatt, it is right by the Rothorn piste for an easy run home at the end of the day. Just relax and enjoy the luxurious private spa facilities, the excellent food and unbeatable views of the iconic Matterhorn.
Leave your preconceptions about ski holidays behind as you zoom up in the private lift that takes you to your mountain retreat. The Chalet Cervo concept is about living in one of their luxury ski chalet buildings all of which have individual rooms, clustered around a central hub containing the reception, a bar and lounge, and the highly regarded restaurant.
With a private minibus shuttling back and forth, and a team of housekeepers and helpful concierges on hand, the Cervo is a wonderful boutique hotel. Perhaps it is the altitude. That feeling of being on the top of the world, breathing pure, crisp mountain air. Whatever it is, Chalet Cervo feels like a revelation.
After an exhilarating day out on Zermatt’s slopes, head for the terrace with a refreshing drink and watch the sunset spreading across the peaks. Before dinner you might like to spend some leisurely time in the spa area, complete with sauna, sanarium, outdoor whirlpool and relaxation area.
Or request a massage, a facial or other beauty treatments to make it a really pampering experience. Let the masseur soothe the aches and pains of the day away, as you gaze out through the snow-laden pine trees to the Matterhorn in the distance.
The Cervo chalet experience is refreshingly simple. The minibar has coffee, tea and mineral water, and the Gault Millau listed restaurant as well as a traditional Swiss alpine restaurant is a short stroll away. A team of attentive staff is on hand to look after you and make any arrangements you require. And perhaps the most unusual aspect of Chalet Cervo is that pets are welcome to stay too. So even Fido can have a great time in the mountains.
Perched above Zermatt, the Cervo is conveniently located at the end of the piste, offering ski-in access. There is also a private lift to take you down into the centre of town and the Sunnega lift station.

Zermatt is a magical resort that children will find enchanting. Horse drawn sleighs, twisting narrow streets – it has buckets of Swiss charm. And there’s plenty for them to do, from tobogganing to ice skating.
You can relax too, because all your logistical headaches can be dealt with by the Cervo’s concierge service. Whatever you need to arrange, from ski passes to boot fittings to booking restaurants and activities – it’s no problem.
Nannies and babysitters can be arranged on request.
We travelled to Zermatt firstly for the Cervo secondly for the Unplugged concerts! The Cervo is a homy cosy place to be with not to much “alpine kitsch”! The staff is wonderful helpful, the breakfast yummie, the rooms very thoughful great, we slept sooo good, the food concept great, the bar food yumm and the best is the Cervo terrace – Wow! What a view, wonderful decoration and details and the drink menu cool!! We will be back for sure!!
