Ambre is kitted out with everything you need, from the high-tech (integrated sound, Spotify and TVs throughout) to the down-to-earth but ever so practical (ski room, laundry room and private parking). And the chalet is as beautiful as it is useful – Alpine chic style is the order of the day here – wood floors, clean lines and warm faux fur throws. Cushions piled high ensure that lounging is easy and there’s always a comfy seat for everyone.
The bedrooms are shrines to rest and relaxation, with soft duvets and fluffy towels, perfect after an energetic day on the slopes or a long soak in the luxurious outdoor hot tub.
Powder hounds will love the location. You’re less than two minute’s walk from the slopes. And when the day’s done you can sit out on the balcony with a drink or two and enjoy the mountains in all their majesty as the sun goes down. Simply spectacular.

Food is as important to the staff at Chalet Ambre as it is to you.
Each morning, a delicious breakfast is served. Then after a morning’s skiing, you’ll find coffee and tea as well as freshly baked cakes and biscuits laid out waiting for you back at the chalet.
In the evenings, following canapés and your favourite aperitif, you’ll enjoy a wonderful evening meal including a cheese board, all served with a carefully chosen selection of house wines. Children are well catered for here too, as your private chef will be happy to prepare an early supper so that the adults can enjoy dinner in peace.
There’s also an open bar with spirits and soft drinks so you can enjoy your favourite tipple whenever you wish, why not enjoy it on one of the balconies looking out to stunning views or from this luxury ski chalet’s hot tub?
Alternatively, Chalet Ambre can be taken on a self-catered basis allowing you to venture out in the evenings and discover the town’s many wonderful restaurants and bars.
Bedrooms & Layout
Chalet Ambre sleeps 8 adults and up to 3 children in 4 bedrooms.
All bedrooms have balconies or access to a terrace.
Bedroom one:
Master double on the top floor; en-suite shower room; separate WC; private balcony. There is also a single bed to accommodate a child in a cosy cubby area at the entrance of this room.
Bedrooms two and three:
Double/twin bedrooms on ground floor; each with en-suite shower room.
Bedroom four:
Family suite on ground floor. Twin/double bedroom and bunk room to sleep two children; en-suite shower room.
This chalet interconnects with Chalet Opal, and the two can be hired together to allow for a party of 20, including at least two children.
Family-friendly
Chalet Ambre’s location right next to the slopes makes this property a good choice for those with children.
Your chef will be happy to prepare special teas for younger visitors, and to make packing easier for those travelling with a baby, cots and highchairs are available, too.
Nannies and babysitters can be booked on request to allow you to enjoy some adult-only time.
Location & Distances
Chalet Ambre is situated in Tignes le Lac, right next to the Almes piste in the centre of the Tignes/Val d’Isere ski area.
The chalet is less than a two minute walk from the slope, whilst the town centre is just over a 5 minute walk away, though with a driver service on hand until 11pm, theres no need to walk anywhere if prefer not to.
Chambery airport is 2h away and Geneva is approximately 3 hours away.
