About Chalet Ananda, Val d’Isere
Filled with Alpine character, this ski chalet in Val d’Isère has a warm welcome for all. Chalet Ananda is a pleasant stroll from the centre of Val d’Isère and just a three-minute walk from the ski lift, but close the front door and you feel you could be in the middle of nowhere.
The chalet has been designed using warm, natural materials such as wood and stone and in a relaxing neutral palette with pops of rich reds bringing colour and cosiness. Sheepskins, animal hides and a roaring fire make the living room the ideal spot to hunker down with friends on snowy afternoons. A mezzanine floor overlooks the main living space, and up here you’ll find relaxed seating, games and a TV space tucked under the eaves. In the adjacent dining room, a refectory-style table sits beneath a contemporary chandelier, just waiting to host delicious dinners prepared by your private chef and long chats with good friends over a few bottles of hand-selected wines.
On snowy afternoons, once you’re home from the slopes, tuck into homemade cakes and hot drinks then retire to the outdoor hot tub and Hammam to soothe away any tired limbs picked up during your skiing day. Glass of bubbly optional but highly recommended.
As night falls, retire to cosy, chunky wood beds, thick duvets and soft pillows to dream of another day’s adventures in the morning.
Location & Distances
Chalet Ananda is set in the heart of Val d’Isère, just three minutes’ walk from the Laisinant Express chair lift which whisks you quickly to the Espace Killy ski area in the mornings. When you return from the mountain, head into the town for après ski. It’s a gentle 15-minute stroll or there’s a shuttle bus, which operates until 2am and takes just three minutes.
The nearest airport is Chambery, two hours away, while Geneva airport is three hours away.

Catering
Chalet Ananda with a private chef means the hard work is taken care of for you. Before your arrival, your private chef will personally consult with you to tailor the set menu to your dietary requirements and culinary preferences.
At Chalet Ananda you’ll wake to a delicious breakfast each morning to set you up for a day’s skiing. On five days there’s a hot breakfast dish, with continental breakfast on the remaining two days. In the afternoons, hot drinks, homemade cakes or biscuits with breads and jams are waiting for you when you return from the snow. As evening falls, drinks and canapés are served before your chef cooks a three-course meal, accompanied by carefully selected wines.
On the Wednesday, chef’s day off, the staff will be happy to help with making restaurant recommendations for you so you can explore Val d’Isère’s vibrant food scene.
Family-friendly
Chalet Ananda is a family-friendly ski chalet in Val d’Isere where younger visitors are welcomed warmly. The six bedrooms offer lots of flexibility for families: two of the bedrooms sleep four in two doubles, a cosy eaves room sleeps three in a double and a single bed and there’s a further single room, as well as two standard doubles. So, whether you have older kids who can’t wait to share, or younger ones who prefer to be in with mum and dad, Chalet Ananda can be arranged to suit your group.
A separate TV snug will appeal to children, who’ll feel they have their own den to escape to, but are within watching distance of the main living space for parent’s peace of mind.
Early dinners can usually be arranged for children. If this requires extended staffing hours, an additional charge may apply. Please let us know at the time of booking so we can tailor arrangements to suit your group’s needs.
