Chalet Aria is one of only four properties in this magnificent building. Set on the top floor this penthouse apartment has a stylish and contemporary feel throughout.

Light wood floors and rafters, an enormous fireplace set behind glass and oversized lighting with clean lines, keeps the look chic and simple. And that’s just as it should be when the view outside is the real star of the show. Floor-to-ceiling windows give a spectacular mountain outlook and the great location means you are only ever minutes from hurtling down the slopes yourself.

Your every comfort has been carefully considered here, with beautiful wood and slate bathrooms and simple but beautifully designed bedrooms with inviting crisp, white linens. Each bedroom has underfloor heating and its own TV too, so that if you want some time to yourself you can do so in comfort.

The living and dining areas are a wonderful space in which to socialise with friends and family. Gather round the fire with aperitifs in the evening before sitting down to the refectory-style table to enjoy a gourmet meal prepared by your chef. If you want to watch a film together in the evening, the TV has surround sound for a cinema-style experience.

Additionally, there is a wellbeing suite on the ground floor where you can enjoy massages, pedicures and facials, as well as use the fitness area. Or relax in the outdoor Jacuzzi which can be booked for private use.

Location

Chalet Aria is in the Alpine village of Zermatt, just two minutes’ walk from the village centre. The property is five to seven minutes’ walk from the Matterhorn ski lift or two minutes by ski bus. In good snow conditions, you can ski back to within 200m of the chalet.

Zermatt is a car-free resort which has a railway station, so guests often arrive by train.

Geneva Airport is approximately 3 hours drive away.

Eating

Chalet Aria is fully catered by an experienced chef, ensuring that every meal is a treat.

Wake up to coffee or tea in bed, followed by a delicious breakfast in the dining area before you leave for the slopes. On returning from your day’s skiing you’ll find afternoon tea waiting for you in the cosy living area.

The evening’s fun starts with canapés and aperitifs, before you all sit down to a fabulous gourmet meal.

There will be a pre arrival menu consultation, giving you the opportunity to discuss your preferences and ensure all members of your party are catered for.

For younger visitors a children’s menu can be provided and served at an earlier time, or whenever suits you.

On your chef’s day off, or if you just fancy a night on the town, Zermatt has some fantastic restaurants to choose from – everything from traditional Swiss establishments to some great Italian eateries.

Alternatively, Chalet Aria can be taken on a self-catered basis if you prefer flexibility on your luxury ski holiday.

Chalet Aria’s very central location (close to both village centre and lifts) makes it a good choice if skiing with children.

Childcare can be arranged on request by your concierge so if you want to go out in the evening or just enjoy a quiet day in adult company you can do so easily.

To make life hassle free at mealtimes, your chef will be happy to prepare a child-friendly meal that can be served earlier in the evening, allowing the adults to enjoy their meal at their leisure later on.
