This beautiful chalet sleeping 14 guests, with its traditional good looks on the outside and modern style indoors, is an ideal base for a snowy break where everyone can please themselves.

Staff are on hand to make sure you never need lift a finger and the chalet is renowned for its excellent menus and service offer. But the property is large enough that you can all simply ‘disappear’ into it and find a little corner for some peace and quiet.

The living and dining areas are airy and light, with their vaulted ceilings. They are separated by a feature fireplace – a fine place to gather at the end of the skiing day and catch up on everyone’s news over a warming cocktail. The modern but intimate dining space offers an ideal place to relax over some good foods and fine wines long into the evenings.

On quiet, cosy afternoons post-ski, pad down to the sauna to warm your bones or head out to the hot tub on the terrace to soothe any aches and pains in the warm waters while taking in that crisp mountain air. There’s lots to keep everyone busy here, with stacks of board games, toys and a DVD library, all just made to make snowy afternoons fly by.

In the evenings, you’ll retire to luxury en-suite bedrooms, each equipped with all you need for the comfiest night’s sleep you’ll ever experience.

Location

Chalet Bergeronnette is situated in the peaceful hamlet of Nantgerel with stunning views across the valley to La Gittaz, approximately 5 minutes chauffeured drive to the main Meribel resort.

The nearest lift is at Le Raffort, which takes you directly to the centre of Méribel and connection to all lifts at the Chaudanne. 

The nearest airports are Chambery, 1hr 15mins away by car, Lyon (1hr 55mins) and Grenoble and Geneva are both 2hrs away.

Eating

Fresh food, served with imagination and aplomb, is what life at Chalet Bergeronnette is all about.

Each morning, a hearty breakfast is served with all sorts to choose from, including homemade yoghurt and fruit compote and a range of cereals and pastries for those who like to eat light in the mornings. There’s also cooked specials on five mornings to tempt you.

When you get back to the chalet, afternoon tea is ready and waiting with hot drinks to warm you through and homemade cakes or biscuits. In the early evening, enjoy drinks and canapés around the fire while your chef provides a kids’ tea so that little ones are off to bed in good time and you can relax and enjoy your evening.

Dinner is always a lavish affair with three courses complimented by carefully selected wines, all tailored to your party’s needs and whims.

On staff days off, your in-resort concierge will be only too pleased to help you book tables at local restaurants. The chalet is only a short stroll to the picturesque village of Le Raffort which boasts one of the areas most sought after restaurants, L’Atelier, or the authentic local bar and restaurant, Martagon.

Kids

This is a family-friendly chalet where little people are made to feel most welcome. The chalet will come stocked with everything a family needs – kids’ beds, cots, highchairs and bibs, baby backpacks, toboggans, baby monitors, sterilisers and kids’ crockery and cutlery. They even keep an emergency supply of nappies. All the chalet’s cars are fitted with children’s car seats and seat belts.

To keep little ones busy, there’s a good stock of toys, games and books, as well as a music and video library, CD and DVD player and TV.

Nannies and babysitters can be arranged on request in partnership with Meribel’s top private nanny agency. There’s even a lunch club which will collect your children from ski school and take them off to exciting afternoon activities – everything from sledging and snowman-building to bowling.

Nearly all the bedrooms can be made up as either twins or doubles, giving you lots of flexibility if you have children in your party. Your chef will be happy to provide a dedicated children’s tea in the evenings to appeal to younger palates.
