Inside, a neutral palette and warm woods create a calming atmosphere. By the time you’ve kicked off your ski gear in the boot room and headed upstairs, you’ll already be feeling ready to relax with friends and family.

The heart of Chalet Fika is its living space with TV, comfy sofas and a log fire. Watch the snow fall outside through huge floor-to-ceiling windows as you catch up on all the day’s adventures over a few glasses of wine or wrap up warm and head out onto the spacious terrace. You’ll also find a hot tub to seat eight here – bottle of bubbly not essential but highly recommended.

If you need a little time to yourself, make the most of the peaceful office space (which can double as a fifth bedroom if you prefer) or, better still, head down to the private spa, which includes a Chroma therapy Hammam, sauna and treatment area. After a couple of hours here, you’ll emerge feeling completely rejuvenated.

Once you’ve cooked with friends in the sociable kitchen and enjoyed a leisurely meal of local specialities and seasonal flavours, sprawl on the huge sofas in the cinema room for a wintry film before retreating to comfy and cosy beds ready for more adventures tomorrow.
