About Chalet Madeleine, Val d’Isere

Tucked away in a quiet spot just outside Val d’Isère sits Chalet Madeleine. This chalet is the last word in cosy comforts, decorated in a palette of warm neutrals and using natural materials, such as wood and stone, accented by warm throws and cushions and animal hides – the perfect welcome when you trudge in from the snow.

The main living spaces are open plan, allowing light to flood through the rooms from floor-to-ceiling windows. The centrepiece of the living room is the roaring fire, with comfy sofas gathered around that invite you to curl up with a glass of wine, friends and family and a few board games. The dining room, adjacent, is sure to be the backdrop to many slow meals over good conversation, great food and fine wines.

Afternoons, post ski, are to be savoured at Chalet Madeleine. Perhaps you’ll choose to take a glass of bubbly out onto the balcony to sink into the hot tub and enjoy filling your lungs with mountain air? If you want to enjoy a little quiet time, throughout the property you’ll find cosy nooks in which to escape for a while, and none cosier than the wonderful ‘snug’ up on the mezzanine floor. Grab a book, a warm throw and spend the afternoon up there watching the snow fall outside.

After a delicious four-course meal, you’ll be ready to roll into bed. Each of the six en-suite bedrooms comes stocked with fluffy gowns and slippers as well as luxury bath products to give your room a spa feel and encourage nightly wellbeing rituals that will get mind and body ready for a deep sleep.
