Ultra-modern and super-cosy, Chalet Galena is a newly renovated luxury ski chalet in Verbier, which is perfect for a small group of friends or a family of five.

Perched high above Verbier, the property is in a very private location, hidden between pine trees behind a pretty garden gate with a semi-covered terrace with outdoor dining and barbecue areas. A practical boot room off the entrance hall means you can all get as wet and muddy as you like before just kicking off your snow gear as you come in.

The heart of this property is the main living space, with its capacious sofas, vaulted ceilings, study area, warm rug underfoot and a wood burning fireplace with double face, allowing it to warm both living and dining room simultaneously. A small flight of stairs takes you down to the sociable kitchen-diner with a round table seating five and a handsome and well-equipped kitchen, including pantry and laundry areas. Behind the French doors is a little balcony with seating for two to enjoy a glass of wine looking out at the mountain views.

The bedrooms are beautifully designed to offer total comfort and lots of character. The master bedroom is on the top floor, with French doors leading to a private balcony and a large en-suite bathroom. A small bedroom opposite is ideal for a child making the top floor a lovely family sleeping area. The bottom floor accommodates a second double bedroom.

With flatscreen TV, Wifi and Sonos sound throughout, everything has been thought of at Chalet Galena to make your stay as easy as possible. All you need do is turn up, kick off your boots, put your feet up in front of the fire and relax.

Location

This luxury ski chalet in Verbier is located in a quiet spot with lots of privacy just above the town. It’s a three-minute drive to the Savolyeres lift and six minutes to the Medran lift station. The centre of Verbier is just five minutes away by car. There’s also a regular bus service from the end of the road.

The nearest airport is Geneva, around two hours’ drive away. Alternatively, Sion airport welcomes private jets and is only 45 minutes away.

Eating

Chalet Galena is a luxury self-catered chalet in Verbier, where you can make the most of the local eating scene and please yourselves as far as catering goes.

The property has a contemporary kitchen-diner, with top-of-the-range gadgets and all the equipment you could need, as well as a beautiful pantry hidden behind a sliding door. The comfy and cosy dining area, on one side of the wood-burning stove, seats five and makes cooking and eating together a really sociable experience.

There are also al fresco eating opportunities, with a couple of chairs on the small balcony behind the French windows making for the perfect spot for a quiet breakfast. A partly covered terrace houses an outdoor dining space and barbecue area if you want to make the most of the garden.

This family-friendly ski chalet has a single bedroom just across the landing from the master bedroom, that would be perfect for a child. A cot and highchair are available for anyone travelling with a baby.

Chalet Galena has its own garden area, with space for children to play on in the snow on afternoons after ski school. There is also a flatscreen TV in the lounge where they can snuggle up with a hot chocolate and watch a film.
