The 500sqm of space, extending over four floors, is brimming with modern technology. Everything from the home cinema screen in the living room to the stylish elevator has been conceived with your comfort in mind.

One of the most attractive aspects of Chalet Karakoram is the superlative level of service. You have seclusion and privacy in your own private chalet, with your own private chef and butler, plus daily housekeeping and all the services of Le K2 Palace Hotel such as concierges, drivers and therapists.

Location

Chalet Karakoram is perfectly positioned just a stone’s throw from the Cospillot piste with ski-in/ski-out access to the vast 3 Valleys ski area. Guests can zip up the drag lift on the Cospillot piste in the mornings and bypass the much busier area of the centre of Courchevel 1850.

The centre of the resort is a 2 minute drive or a 5 minute walk. Guests have access to the hotel shuttle service, simply call the concierge desk and a vehicle will be with you in moments.

The nearest airports are Chambery, at 1hr 45 mins, Grenoble 1hr 50 mins and Geneva 2hrs 30 mins.

Eating

If you love being spoiled with fabulous feasts, then you will love Chalet Karakoram. With an experienced chef in the kitchen dedicated to your delectation, and a butler to wait on you hand and foot, you may think you’ve gone to heaven.

Food and soft drinks are included in the cost of staying here, and that means everything from a reviving cup of tea or coffee brought to your bedside, to a hearty breakfast, a choice of either lunch or dinner and plenty of tasty treats in-between. Lunch or dinner is usually proposed as a three course meal however if you wish to add courses this is no problem at all and can be arranged at additional cost.

Should you have any special requirements, your chef will discuss these with you to ensure that everything is exactly the way you desire. Don’t forget that as well as a personal chef, you have the excellent restaurants of the K2 Hotel and the whole of Courchevel 1850 on hand.

Kids

Perhaps the best aspect of Chalet Karakoram from a child’s point of view is the private indoor swimming pool. Complete with a jet stream and waterfall feature, it is a great place for families to hang out and relax. There is even a comfy lounge area next to the pool where adults can catch up with a book whilst supervising the kids.

Exciting children’s activities can be organised by the chalet staff, such as ice skating and tobogganing. You can also have all the hassle of arranging ski passes, hiring ski gear and finding a good instructor taken out of your hands by the experienced staff. If they get bored of the chalet, you can always take the little ones over to the K2 hotel where there is a fantastic playroom for a change of scenery.
