The chalet is part of the La Mourra hotel, which boasts a wonderful spa and two excellent restaurants, all of which can be accessed from the secret tunnel, below ground.

And the chalet itself is designed with your complete relaxation in mind. Each of the bedrooms is equipped with a king-size bed, spa-style bathroom and only the comfiest and cosiest of soft furnishings, to make each room a bolthole to retreat to for a rest at the end of the skiing day.

The communal areas are carefully designed to encourage both group dynamics and to create spaces for everyone to call their own, too. The cavernous living area is topped with a cathedral style roof, while warm woods and rich, colourful furnishings create a really welcoming atmosphere. An intimate dining area, beneath a statement chandelier, offers a spot for convivial dinners that run long into the evenings.

When you return, pleasantly exhausted from your ski, there are plenty of places both to collapse and recover quietly or to be sociable, too, from the stunning cinema room, kitted out with slubby sofas to sprawl on and faux fur throws to snuggle under, through to the beautifully equipped private spa with a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and even a massage cabin. And if you wish to pamper yourself further, guests of La Grange are always welcome in the La Mourra Hotel’s own spa and further facilities, too.

Eating

Food and wine are a key part of the luxury experience at Chalet La Grange. To set your stay off on the right note, welcome Champagne and nibbles are served on arrival.

During your stay, a private chef and butler are on hand to ensure you’re well fed and watered at all times. When you wake in the mornings, breakfast is ready and waiting for you. When you return from the snow, afternoon tea and patisserie are ready to warm you through.

In the evenings, you can relax in front of the warming fire with a pre-dinner drink as your private chef prepares dinner. The chef will be happy to discuss any special requests and locally sourced, fresh ingredients will ensure that every mouthful is utterly delicious. If you’d like to head out for dinner, your concierge can make recommendations and reservations for you.

Your chef will also be happy to do an early evening children’s tea to suit your little ones’ bedtimes, so you can relax and enjoy your evening meal in peace.
