At Chalet Nanuq, the owners have done all they can to ensure the living is easy. For a start, one can ski from the front door, meaning no wasting time getting to the lifts. But there is also always someone on hand to sort whatever it is you need doing, from putting together fabulous menus to ensuring your drinks are kept topped up.

The communal living areas are beautifully designed to be relaxing and sociable. Spacious, squashy L-shaped sofas are gathered near the chalet’s open fire and in the evenings, the south-facing terrace, with views over the Tarentaise valley, is a very fine spot to gather with a night cap and watch the stars come out.

The luxury bedrooms are kitted out with everything you could wish for to make your break a real retreat. From luxury beauty products to slippers, bathrobes and more, you’ll leave here feeling thoroughly rested and restored.

Despite being literally seconds from the slopes, there is so much to keep you busy in this glamorous chalet. Guests who would benefit from a little TLC will be well looked after here. The chalet has a private spa, which includes sauna, Hammam and fitness room, as well as a stunning swimming pool. The spa is the perfect place to unwind after a morning on the slopes, while your chef prepares your evening meal.

If you or the children are in need of a little downtime, you could do worse than to chill out in the chalet’s cinema room or games area, where you can lounge in front of a film or use the games consoles. If you’re really lucky the grown-ups will forget you haven’t gone to bed yet, and you can hunker down in there until well past your bedtime! Play is taken seriously at Chalet Nanuq.

Location

Chalet Nanuq is situated on the edge of La Plantret slope in the Chenus area. It is possible to ski directly out onto the slopes in the morning and on your return you can ski to within 70 metres of Chalet Nanuq.

The centre of Courchevel 1850 is a ten minute walk or 5 minute drive away.

The nearest airport is Chambery, approximately 1 hour 30 minutes drive, whilst Grenoble and Lyon airports are approximately 2 hours 10 minutes and Geneva airport is 2 hours 20 minutes drive away. Moutiers rail station is also just 30 minutes’ drive.

There is also an altiport in Courchevel 1850 for those travelling by helicopter or private jet.

Eating

Rest assured you won’t have to lift a finger here. Your private butler and chef will take care of everything for you. A delicious breakfast will welcome you downstairs each morning, and your chef will also prepare dinner each day, as well as afternoon tea if you wish.

The chef uses only the highest quality ingredients to put together an exciting and imaginative menu, tailored to your tastes. A separate children’s tea in the early evening can also be arranged.

Please note that all food and drink is charged for additionally, allowing the chef to tailor menus to your exact requirements.

Children of all ages will enjoy splashing in this luxury ski chalet’s swimming pool. For a quieter afternoon, there is a cinema and games room with a Wii console to keep the younger members of your party entertained.

Your chef will be happy to prepare an earlier children’s tea, meaning little ones don’t have to be on best behaviour during a long meal and the adults can relax post-bedtime and enjoy dinner at their leisure.
