Swiss chalet style meets big game hunting lodge in this luxury ski chalet in Verbier. A strong South African influence brings unique style to what is already a fabulously chic property in a wonderful location.

In the sociable and spacious living and dining room, a double-height beamed ceiling, rustic woods and natural stone create a really cosy feel, topped off by the enormous chimney breast and fire roaring in the grate. Oversized sofas, grouped together, give everyone a comfy place to kick back and relax. The kitchen and bar are just steps away so someone is always on hand to top up your drink or fetch you a snack.

This is a chalet that really pulls out all the stops on the entertainment front. There’s a cinema/games room with L-shaped sofas, projector and a games table, which will keep kids and big kids alike busy in the afternoons and evenings. This luxury ski chalet is kitted out with a state-of-the-art sound system and TVs in every bedroom, too. Additionally, there’s a children’s ‘day bedroom’, giving little ones somewhere to escape to and play while the grown-ups are having canapés or just a bit of quiet time.

After an energetic morning on the slopes, there’s no better place to unwind and warm up than in Chalet Petiti’s wonderful spa. Warm your very bones in the hammam, luxuriate in a massage in the private treatment room and then finish off with a glass of bubbly in the outdoor hot tub, which is surrounded by rustic stone walls and lit in a stunning blue to create your own private grotto.

Each of the lovely en-suite bedrooms is decorated individually with crisp cotton sheets, stunning artworks and lots of little luxuries that make a great bedroom a spa-style retreat. Cosy up for the night in your impossibly warm and comfy bed and drift off to sleep counting down the hours until you can throw open the doors to your terrace and breathe in the mountain air and the smell of coffee and pastries downstairs.

Location

Chalet Petiti is located just outside Verbier’s heart in the Swedish quarter. It’s a 10 minute walk into the centre of Verbier and the Medran lift station is a 4 minute walk away, however with a driver service on hand getting around resort and to and from the slopes is easy.

Geneva international airport is a 2 hour drive away.

Eating

Your private chef is on hand to ensure you are always kept well fed and never have to lift a finger. Both cooked and continental breakfasts are served each morning to set you up for a day on the slopes.

When you return to the chalet following your day’s skiing, help yourself to tea, coffee, homemade cakes and breads and jams – or a savoury snack if you prefer – while you catch up with the rest of your party.

There’s just time for a nap, a massage or a soak in the hot tub before champagne and canapés are served in the early evening.

Dinner is usually a four-course affair to include a locally inspired cheeseboard, but your chef will be pleased to take on board any ideas and preferences you may have. A selection of house wines, chosen by local vintners is served with dinner and there’s an extensive wine list to choose from as well as complimentary beers, a selection of house spirits and soft drinks. If you have any special requests such as a favourite tipple, we can have it stocked, at an additional cost.

Children’s early suppers can also be arranged at a time which suits them.

This luxury ski chalet can also be taken on a bed and breakfast or self-catered basis.
