Sleek, chic and oh so warm and welcoming, Chalet Rytola is a luxury chalet in Chamonix with a modern-rustic style that makes you feel perfectly at home from day one.

The property has been carefully designed to make the most of every natural advantage, from the floor-to-ceiling windows that take in views of Mont Blanc, to the hot tub outside, enclosed by trees.

The minimalist style of the main living areas, with poured concrete, rough hewn stone and scrubbed wood, gives a real feeling of space that means you relax as soon as you sit down here. The living area is simply stunning, with its huge, statement fireplace, capacious sofas and armchairs, and floor-to-ceiling windows that look straight out onto the mountain. You’ll certainly never need a conversation starter sitting together under that majestic mountain.

Close by is the contemporary dining area, where you can sit and enjoy meals cooked by a private chef or simply local ingredients you throw together yourselves. And behind that is a well-equipped kitchen space.

A TV snug offers a space to chill out in the afternoons in front of a film but this space can also be used to sleep additional guests, if needed.

Each of the four main bedrooms has its own private, spa-style bathroom with room for everyone to retreat to for a bit of their own quiet space. The chalet also has beautiful outdoor areas to enjoy, including a sun terrace and garden, with areas for barbecuing and outdoor eating, and a hot tub with views of the mountain.

Location

Chalet Rytola is located just outside of Chamonix town centre, but within 5 minutes’ walk of all of Chamonix’s shops, bars and restaurants.

In terms of skiing, it’s just 3 minute drive to Le Brevent, also where one of the main beginner’s slopes in the Chamonix Valley is located. From here, a drag lift takes you to the Brevent lift, giving access to the Brevent/Flegere ski area.

And for those with other interests, you’re within striking distance of hiking paths, rock climbing, biking and cross-country tracks in the summer.

The nearest airport is Geneva which is just over an hour’s drive.

Rooms

Chalet Rytola sleeps 8 + 3 guests across four bedrooms and three additional beds in the TV room.

Bedroom 1:
Master bedroom on ground floor with en-suite bathroom, dressing room, terrace access and Mont Blanc views.

Bedroom 2:
Double/twin bedroom on ground floor with en-suite shower room and terrace access.

Bedroom 3:
Double/twin bedroom on ground floor with en-suite shower room

Bedroom 4:
Double bedroom on mezzanine level with en-suite shower room.

The TV room also has three beds which can be set up for larger groups (best suited for children) and a WC.

Eating

Excellent food, fine wines and great service are all part of the service at Chalet Rytola and every flexibility is offered to ensure you have everything you need.

For those who want everything completely taken care of, you can opt for a catered service, which includes champagne reception, daily breakfast with cooked options, afternoon tea and cake, followed by canapés and a four-course meal served by your private chef on six evenings out of seven.

Alternatively, if you prefer to self-cater, there’s a wonderfully equipped kitchen, and a dedicated concierge will be on hand to help with restaurant suggestions, grocery shopping and more.

The staff will also, of course, be happy to help with restaurant bookings if you wish. Chamonix is packed with excellent eating options but we particularly like Le Matafan and Le Panier des 4 Saison for a special evening out.
