Laid out almost entirely over one level, Chalet Serge is a very sociable space to share with friends of family. In the living area a capacious sofa seats 15 – more than enough space for everyone to sprawl – while a dining table nearby seats eight for long, leisurely meals. There’s also a well-equipped professional kitchen so you can self cater and fix snacks whenever you want to.

The two main bedrooms are individually designed to feel relaxing and cosseting when you fall into bed at the end of adventure filled days . Each has its own stylish en-suite to unwind in, too. The attic room works well as a children’s bedroom, and there’s also a single service bedroom which might suit a nanny.

On snowy afternoons, when you return from your skiing day, there’s plenty to keep everyone busy at Chalet Serge, Cortina d’Ampezz. Head up to the cinema area on the mezzanine level and lie on the huge beanbags in front of a movie or wander down to your private spa where you can soothe any aching muscles in the Finnish sauna and Jacuzzi, and warm your entire body in the Hammam.

Before you head out for your evening meal, we recommend you enjoy drinks and canapés on your terrace, where bar-style seating lets you take in the views and the mountain air over a glass of something suitably cold and bubbly. Saluti!

Location

This luxury ski chalet in the Dolomites is beautifully located in the heart of Cortina. The property is just three minutes’ drive from the nearest ski lift and five minutes from the centre of town.

The nearest airports are Venice, 2 hours away, Innsbruck, 2 hours 30 minutes away, and Verona, 3 hours away.

Eating

Chalet Serge comes fully stocked with water, juices, other soft drinks and coffee and tea for you to help yourself to. An à la carte breakfast, to set you up for an energetic day on the slopes, is served each morning in either your chalet or The Restaurant.

As guests of the Dolomiti Lodge Hotel, you’re welcome to enjoy The Restaurant, an à la carte eatery, serving outstanding Cortina specialities made using local ingredients. It also has an excellent wine list of more than 200 labels. For a lighter lunch, visit The Terrace, close by, which boasts views of the Ampezzo Alps as you eat. The town itself is home to lots of excellent restaurants, as well, including two which are Michelin starred. Chalet Serge also has a professional kitchen for those who prefer to self-cater.

Kids

Children receive a warm welcome at Chalet Serge. The modern interior has plenty of open-plan space to play and the loft room makes a brilliant bedroom for children.

Ski lessons can be arranged, as can other winter activities, including snow-shoeing, ice-skating and ice-climbing. Once they’re back at the chalet in the afternoons, they might like to watch a film in the cosy cinema space on the mezzanine, sprawled across beanbags. Or take them over to the Dolomiti Lodge Hotel for a swim in its glorious swimming pool.
