About Chalet Sylvain, Val d’Isere
As stylish as it is cosy, Chalet Sylvain has a home-from-home feel that welcomes you in, every time you step across the threshold. Perfectly located, close to the slopes and with easy access to the centre of Val d’Isère, yet in the pretty and quiet hamlet of Le Fornet, Chalet Sylvain has the best of all worlds. You can be home from the snow, kick off your ski gear in moments, and before you can say ‘après ski’ you’re on the capacious sofas, enjoying a slice of homemade cake while your toes are warmed by a roaring fire.
The airy living room with its vaulted wooden ceiling is a fabulous space to gather with family and friends when your skiing day is done, with lovely views over the slopes. Play games or read in front of the fire together, or head to the private wellness area with its stunning glass-fronted sauna and Jacuzzi. Within an hour or so you’ll be feeling entirely rejuvenated and ready for an evening of good food and fine wine, spent with friends.
After dinner, retreat to soothing bedrooms in calming, neutral shades to slip into fluffy dressing gowns and slippers and get a good night’s sleep before you do it all again tomorrow.
Location & Distances
Chalet Sylvain in Val d’Isère set in the pretty Le Fornet area of the town. It’s less than a 5-minute walk to the Fornet cable car and the closest piste and there’s also a free shuttle bus every 10 minutes that takes you into the centre of Val d’Isère in just five minutes.
The nearest airport is Chambery, two hours away, while Geneva airport is three hours away.

Catering
Chalet Sylvain is a catered ski chalet where the hard work is taken out of mealtimes for you. In preparation for your stay, you’ll enjoy a bespoke menu consultation with your private chef, ensuring the set menu is carefully curated around your dietary needs and personal tastes.
Each morning you’ll wake to a delicious breakfast (hot options on five days and continental on the other two) to fuel an energetic day on the slopes. Then, when you return to Chalet Sylvain in the afternoons, hot drinks and homemade cakes, biscuits and other sweet treats are waiting for you. You should have time for a sauna and a soak in the Jacuzzi before getting dressed for dinner – four courses beginning with canapés and drinks in the living room, with views of the snow.
On Wednesday, your chef’s day off, the chalet’s staff will help you with restaurant recommendations and bookings, allowing you to fully explore Val d’Isère’s vibrant food scene.
Family-friendly
This luxury family-friendly ski chalet in Val d’Isère is a great base for families wanting to explore this fabulous ski area. Close to the cable car and with a handy shuttle service, kids will not have to wait long to get to where you all want to be.
All of the bedrooms can be configured as either doubles or twins, giving family groups plenty of flexibility, and each bedroom has its own TV so children can hunker down with cartoons in the afternoons while they rest after a morning at ski school.
Early dinners can usually be arranged for children. If this requires extend staffing hours, an additional charge may apply. Please let us know at the time of booking so we can tailor arrangements to suit your group’s needs.
