This traditional Savoyard farmhouse has been tastefully renovated with a warm and cosy feel and offers all the modern facilities one would expect from a luxury ski chalet. The heart of the chalet is the double height open plan living space which opens onto a south facing balcony overlooking the mountains and stunning Mont de Grange. The log burning fire, cocktail bar and dedicated TV snug/playroom are arranged with everyone’s comfort in mind, allowing both adults and children to find space to relax. Outdoors you will find a bubbling hot tub or why not relax in the sauna?
Six tastefully decorated bedrooms accommodate up to 12 guests (including a family suite of a double room and joining bunk room). Many of the bedrooms have direct access to the south facing balcony or garden terrace where there are enclosed gardens.
La Grange au Merle caters for both friends and families seeking a holiday which provides plenty of action and indulgent quality time. For the adults, the carnotzet can be found in the cave under the chalet with an enticing selection of wines waiting to be savoured. Perfect for an evening after a thrilling day in the beautiful Portes du Soleil ski domain. And, there is plenty to keep children entertained, from the outdoor playhouse, toys and games/arts and crafts supplies, early suppers can also be arranged at their very own children’s table.

La Grange au Merle is a luxury catered chalet and you’ll be welcomed with Champagne on arrival.
Before heading out each morning, your chef will create delicious breakfasts to fuel your days on the slopes and on your return you’ll be greeted with an afternoon tea to warm you through.
To follow this why not take some time to soak in the hot tub or sauna before pre-dinner drinks and canapés are served. Your chef will create mouth-watering four course dinners on four evenings, then enjoy a more relaxed two course dinner and a self-service Raclette on one evening each. Any special dietary requirements, this will be taken into consideration with the menu.

This chalet lends itself beautifully to children with ample gardens for playing in the snow and an alpine play house ‘Crystal de Neige’ which they’ll adore. A separate TV snug with a selection of DVDs, games, toys and craft supplies should keep them occupied indoors.
The family suite with an adjoining bunk room is perfect for little ones who wish to be close to parents. For babies and toddlers, buggies, high chairs, cots and baby monitors can be provided on request.
If booked on a catered basis, your chef will be on hand to tailor menus to their young tastebuds and can serve supper at an earlier time and the chalet’s chauffeur can ferry them to and from ski school to ensure everything is as effortless as possible.

Location & Distances
La Grange au Merle is located just a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk from the centre of Châtel, which forms part of the Portes du Soleil ski area. As well an extensive ski area, Châtel has a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops to choose from.
