New for the 2023-2024 winter season, The Barn brings a new level of ski-in/ski-out luxury to the exclusive Oberlech area. Swish straight down the slopes to this chocolate-box chalet, kick off your boots and enter a grown-up den of sophistication.

The living room – complete with library wall, plush furnishings and statement fireplace – is a sociable hub where time together takes centre stage. It’s the kind of place you can imagine playing games of chess with a whisky in hand and chatting to friends long into the evenings.

Over in the dedicated dining area, a long table provides the setting for mouth-watering evening meals crafted by your private chef. Up the after-dinner ante with games and music in the chalet’s entertainment room or spill out onto the spacious terrace for butler-served drinks at the outdoor bar.

Of course, there’s more. If your post-piste purpose is some quality R’n’R, The Barn’s private spa is a deep dive into the world of wellbeing. Swim strokes in the atmospheric indoor swimming pool, soothe away ‘skier’s thigh’ in the sauna, and find total zen in the relaxation area while gazing up at bright blue skies and snowy mountain peaks.

Location

The Barn, Lech has a prime ski-in/ski-out setting just five minutes’ walk from the centre of Oberlech, Lech’s exclusive little sister that sits above the main town.

A complimentary chauffeur service is provided to whisk you around Lech and Zürs.

Innsbruck is the closest airport, approximately 1 hour 30 minutes away. Friedrichshafen airport (1 hour 50 minutes) and Zurich airport (2 hours 20 minutes) are also good options.

Eating

The Barn ups the luxury ski chalet dining experience with the service not only of a private chef, but a butler, too – so you won’t need to lift a finger during your stay.

Alongside the top service, expect a whole range of culinary delights. A hearty breakfast with warm drinks will set you up for a morning on the mountain and, when you return, a mouth-watering afternoon tea will await.

In the evenings, let your chef know your preferred style of supper. You can tuck into Austrian family feasts, get stuck in with traditional raclette or devour multi-course tasting menus. The menus aim for beautifully executed dishes designed to tantalise your tastebuds.

Extra meals – such as a lunchtime barbecue on the terrace – can be arranged at an additional cost.

If you plan to sample the local eateries, you’ll be spoilt for choice with world-class restaurants both up on the mountain and in Lech itself.
