Just steps from the beautiful beach of Agios Sostis, this luxury villa in Mykonos is a perfect little sun trap. Villa Isla is a series of white cubes that seem to grow out of the very rock they are perched on, enjoying wonderful views out over the coastline.

The interiors are light, bright and open. A neutral palette, wood floors and rustic furniture bring a relaxed, coastal style to the rooms, making relaxation come absolutely naturally. The well-equipped kitchen is a pleasure to cook in if you decide to cater for yourselves. Whether you’re breakfasting at the long table, or sprawling on the spacious sofas, the sea is ever-present, framed perfectly by the blue-shuttered windows.

Seven beautiful bedrooms, with spa-style bathrooms and luxury bath products provide everyone with their own bolthole for a siesta. One of the bedrooms has an independent entrance, making this villa a great choice for two families sharing.

Outside, the swimming pool takes centre stage on the sunny terrace, surrounded by comfortable sun loungers. Sit back with a book and a cooling drink and just take in that wonderful view of the sea. A shaded alfresco lounge and dining area is adjacent to the pool so after a morning swim you can enjoy lunch in the shade looking out onto the ocean.

Location

Villa Isla is in the Agios Sostis area of Mykonos, on the sheltered north side of the island. The villa is a 3 minute stroll away from the beach and a 20 minute drive to Mykonos Town.

The island’s international airport is a 20 minute drive away.

Please note that some of the bedrooms have a shower that is open to the room and separated by a curtain. There is also an independent studio for staff.

Eating

Villa Isla is offered on a self-catered basis, however, should you wish to hire the services of a private chef for the week to attend to your every need, from special occasions and parties to a fully catered holiday, this can be arranged on request.

There are lots of traditional, casual tavernas in Agios Sostis itself that you can walk to. Topping the list are Aperitto, which has sea views, and Olé Olé, a firm favourite with families.

In Mykonos Town, just a short drive away, there is a plethora of excellent eating spots. The Nobu venue, Matsuhisa, at the Belvedere Hotel is a must-do for gourmands for its Japanese fusion dishes that have become a byword for the food revolution across the globe.

For a more laid-back, local experience, try Sea Satin Market, directly beneath the windmills, where you can choose your own seafood or steak and watch it being grilled to perfection in front of you.
