Discover the top 5 best chalets in Tignes on our top list below. We have spent over a decade collecting the best chalets across the Alps, so we know what sets apart the best from the rest.
Tignes has long been known for its world-class high-altitude skiing, which is linked to the neighbouring resort of Val d’Isere via the mighty Val d’Isere-Tignes (also known as Espace Killy) ski area.
Unlike its glamorous neighbour, Tignes has previously had little to offer in the way of truly luxurious ski chalets. That has now changed, with it now boasting several ultra-luxurious chalets.
Having visited many of these properties, we can happily report – they are stunning!

First up is Chalet de la Cloche in the pretty little resort of Tignes les Brevieres. Tignes is made up of a number of smaller sub-resorts, and Tignes les Brevieres is located at the lower altitude of 1550m. Don’t let that put you off, however, as this is the original mountain village and has a lovely little church in the centre and plenty of charm. The local runs are quieter, and it is also well-linked to the rest of Tignes, so access is easy.
With 8 bedrooms and sleeping 16, Chalet de la Cloche is brilliant for larger groups. It is stylishly decorated yet cosy, making it an enticing retreat after a day on the mountain.

Chalet Quezac is an absolute one-off. Ultra-contemporary and super-cool, it is a style statement. You can expect huge portraits painted onto the wall in the bedrooms, a 2-metre red penguin on the stairs and a racing motorbike in the kitchen. It must be seen.

Chalet Ubud, as you’ll see from the images, takes its inspiration from the iconic Bali town of Ubud. Within the same collection of chalets as Chalet Quezac, you can expect to find equally distinctive decor. There are six beautiful bedrooms, each with Eastern influences and original Balinese pieces.
For the hardcore skiers, Chalet Ubud is just 50m from the village funicular, so you won’t waste any time getting fresh tracks in the morning!

Then up in Tignes Le Lac, we have Chalet Opale. Cool neutral colours, hot tubs on the terrace and a dramatic sculpture make Chalet Opale stylish and the perfect relaxing home away from home for your week in the mountains.
We have to admit, it’s hard to pry yourself off the L-shaped sofa in front of the fire, with the wonderful view ahead!

Chalet Ambre is the epitome of Alpine Chic, with wooden floors, warm faux furs and fluffy pillows!
Each afternoon, when you come back from skiing, you can ski within a 2-minute walk from the chalet and soak in the luxurious outdoor hot tub.
