Ski-in/Ski-out Zermatt Luxury Accommodation

There are fewer ski-in/ski-out chalets in Zermatt than in other resorts, so if you are primarily concerned about being able to ski to and from your chalet door, you may be better off in another resort. If your heart is set on a ski-in, ski-out chalet in Zermatt, one of our favourites is Tuftra Findelbach, a 7-bedroom chalet with great views of the Matterhorn and access to the Moosweg ski run in good snow conditions.

Matterhorn Ski Holidays

There is only one main ski area in Zermatt, known as the Matterhorn ski paradise. It’s called the Cervino ski paradise in Italian (the Matterhorn mountain is called Cervino on the other side). But don’t let the single ski area put you off, the area is huge, spanning vast Swiss and Italian ski areas, either side of the famous mountain. Our advice for skiing here is to move with the sun around the Matterhorn, avoiding the mountains shadow.

What are the 'Low Season' and 'High Season' prices?

Our prices show the range from the low season to the high season. If the property has catering options, the low price is for the lowest level e.g. self-catered, and the high price is for the highest level e.g. catered.

Each property has different high and low seasons. The general pattern is:

Chalets
Low season is usually early/mid-December, mid-January, and summer.
Mid season is usually early February, March and April.
High season is usually Xmas, New Year and mid/end February.

European Villas
Low season is usually April, May and October.
Mid season is usually June and September.
High season is usually July and August.

Caribbean Villas
Low season is usually June to November.
Mid season is usually November to mid-December and mid-April to June.
High season is usually mid-December to mid-April.
